We saw pentatonix, Duran Duran, Bastille, Lauren Alaina, and MJ all in the same week. MJ, Hands down was the best performance we’ve seen in a long time! The music, vocals, and choreography of MJ put everyone else we’d seen that week to shame. in comparison to other Musicals, MJ holds its own against the Greatest Showman, and Hamilton.
This concert plays were off the chain and exhilarating! I haven't seen a good combination in a VERY long time and I highly recommend it to everyone!🤗
MJ the Musical was just a perfect show…the songs, the story, the acting…unbelievable!! Devin Bowles played the part of Rob/Joe Jackson…he killed it!! This show is now my favorite musical…ever! Hope to catch it in another city soon!
I went with high expectations and doubts. This was a surprise 42nd anniversary present from my Hubby. He was hospitalized 4 days before our anniversary but was adamant that I go anyway. From the moment MJ started , I was mesmerized. The actors portraying Michael from child to teen to adulthood were phenomenal. Scene changes to coincide with the music for that period, really drew you in! I even shed a few tears from some of the memories. This is the best musical I’ve seen in a long time! Don’t miss it!!!
I had been looking forward to seeing MJ for a while and quite frankly was disappointed. The dancers and choreography were AMAZING!! I felt like the storyline/plot with the documentary producer/interviewer and cameraman were weak. I felt like the creators of this musical missed an opportunity to tell a great story and it fell short, for me. I wanted a mini concert at the end. I don't feel like I really saw the full talent of the cast. I wish that I loved it, but I didn't.
The production was absolutely outstanding. It was very nice for production allow the storyline to focus solely on Michael Jackson’s talent and musicality as an electrifying performer. The brief reflective story lines of his life, served as a nice form of do-tell for audience engagement. A learned takeaway from the musical production, was the sacrificial compromise and disciplines that comes while on a quest for stardom.
Loved the entire experience of MJ ‘s music and dancing!! This musical was so authentic that my daughter said it was as amazing as a real MJ concert. She had attended one in the mid 1980’s at the White Sox stadium. All of the performers were extraordinarily talented!! I especially enjoyed the decision to have MJ portrayed by actors at three age levels and to show how at a young age Michael was extremely talented, committed, and focused on his performances. All of that despite the physical and emotional abuse from his father. We saw the good, bad and ugly in Michael’s life. But most importantly, we remembered all of his wonderful music. The audience appreciated and reminisced with “MJ the Musical 🎶 “!

From start to finish this show was amazing!! My 8 year old loved it and it kept his attention for the whole show (a miracle in itself).

My family truly loved the performance. The music, dancing and special effects were phenomenal. Our only complaint is that there was no legroom in the seats, and the seats were really tight.
Other family members saw the show and told me I shouldn't miss it. I wish the show was in town longer because I came down with Covid. Got better the last week of the show. Went on line and looked to see if there were any seats left. The day before the show ended, 2 tickets became available, 8th row center. Not from a reseller. Didn't over spend, easy to get the tickets. A great experience. A great show. So glad I saw it.
This production was not as great as expected! The opening number was lackluster at best! With all of the great music it is difficult to place it in the context of a broadway production. The musical acts singularly were amazing!
Out of this world!!!! Worth every dime. I hate that it’s ending soon in Chicago. Everyone who played Michael was talented. Great cast, outfits and performance
