    Miyavi is so amazing!

by OriginalRobot on 6/13/10CLUB NOKIA - Los Angeles

Seeing Miyavi in person was such an amazing thing and I would do it a million times if I could. The only problem I had was there were a lot of people who showed up in our section(VIP balcony) who didn't seem like they cared because they were just texting and we weren't aloud to make any noises. Some people who were there didn't even know there was a concert going on. I really feel like if you hold a concert you should expect the concert environment and not try to stop people from having fun because you are VIP and I found it kind of disrespectful to Miyavi that there was other things going on. I understand that you weren't allowed to take pics or video of miyavi, but they could have just monitored people rather than not letting them in with cameras. They also threw out a bunch of stuff from me and my friends purse before we could stop them which was VERY rude. I loved seeing Miyavi so much but I think I would have liked to see him perform somewhere else with a better environment.

    Miyavi, Amazing Samurai Guitarist!

by Marivee on 6/13/10CLUB NOKIA - Los Angeles

Wow. The show was absolutely amazing! He performed with only a drummer and a keyboardist (in some songs) and pulled off something quite spectacular. His rhythmic guitar playing and sweet, sexy riffs were captivating. I didn't want the show to end! I would definitely watch him again and again.

    Miyavi was AMAZING!

by Nenerds on 6/13/10CLUB NOKIA - Los Angeles

What can i say?....Miyavi was born to rock the house. Incredibly! he has so much charisma on stage. Too many words to describe how amazing he is! I remember hearing a girl in the crowd say how it is a privilege and honor to be able to see him here in the states, truly...it really is. Youtube vids of him doesn't come close to seeing him live!

    My first concert

by chizuru on 6/12/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

This was my first concert i've gone to and i loved it!!! I loved Miyavi's performance! It was great and sometimes quite funny. If i could see Miyavi again i would be soooo happy!! I also liked where the concert was held; since the venue is small, it is more of a intimate type of show. I think it is great that you are able to stand so close to the artist(s). I defenitly recommend going to see Miyavi and to go to a concert at the House of Blues!

    Miyavi was incredable

by Anonymous on 6/12/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

This was an amazing concert for Miyavi, this being his first stop on his North American tour for 2010. I have now seen him four times on stage and he just keeps getting better and better. Even without the Kabuki Boyz ( though they will be missed) it was a show I want to play back in my mind over and over again.

    MIYAVI all the way

by KenZn on 6/12/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

The songs of MIYAVI were all amazing. He is a professional singer. I loved how he played the guitar and when he put his guitar behind his back and played it.

    Miyavi knows how to rock!

by MisoAudio on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I wasn't sure about what to expect from Miyavi at his concert since I wasn't too fond of a lot of his older songs. However, he only played newer songs at the concert. The new songs were consistently good. I had a lot of fun. I really hope to see Miyavi again during his next U.S.A. tour.

    Miyavi is a guitar god

by AkiraKitano on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I've seen Miyavi perform before, each time has blown me away. I'm always surprised by his energy, his skill, and his over-all showmanship. It was the first show I had taken my nephew to and for the first few songs all my nephew could do was stare in awe. The volume of the music was just right, the guitar wasn't over powered by the drums and vice versa. I am sorry to anyone who missed this show. Next time he's in town you need to see him perform. It's like watching an artist paint.

    Incredible start to a tour!

by thechexican on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I'd seen Miyavi before, back at the Jrock Revolution festival in Los Angeles a few years back. Now, I got to experience a one-man Miyavi show on the first stop of his own North American tour. There was a good mix of older songs and newer ones, along with fresh new tracks that will be released in the upcoming months. Miyavi himself is very charismatic, and pulled off amazing stuff backed only by a drummer and/or keyboardist. Very glad he's finally getting to tour America, and he's bringing us one mighty fine show.

Miyavi-- even better in real life!!

by Rhathymia on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I've been a long time fan of Miyavi, and was ecstatic to see that he was playing in San Diego at the House of Blues. After waiting in line for a couple of hours, as I arrived early, we all were let in. The standing area is about 40x40 ft, and we packed ourselves into it. The greatest part was that we all were close to Miyavi; I myself was about 5 ft away by the end of the concert. Miyavi was amazing in concert. He's got great energy and you can tell that he really loves being up there and preforming for you. He thanked us again and again for being there, and said some stuff about his personal life--he's especially fond of his daughter, who was born last year. "She's a monster," he said, "Cause she wakes me up every morning, but I love her so much. And she loves to hear about all of you!" He persisted that he was really grateful we turned out to see him, and that he hopes to tour again next year. The concert seemed a little short, about an hour and a half, but it was well worth it. He took the mood from upbeat and bouncy to hard rock, to some really soft, sweet music, before he took a brief intermission, changed clothes, and came back on to finish strong. I would so go to one of his concerts again! He even introduced some new songs, my favorite of which was called "Gravity." This is definitely a concert you don't want to miss!

Miyavi- power and passion- amazing show

by lm2010 on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

My friend said it best- "He's like Japan's Michael Jackson". Not because he dances, but because of the pasison and energy he brings to his performance. His rapport with the audience, his amazing talent, the way one could feel his communication through his music to the farthest seats. Size of venue is of no moment- he gives his all whether playing for 30 or 300,000.

One of the best shows I've ever seen.

by Electroloveboat on 6/11/10House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I've been wanting to see Miyavi in concert for years, and I never thought I'd ever get to see him, let alone in America. I feel so lucky to have been there, he is such an amazing performer and he really loves his fans. I greatly appreciate him for coming back out to do another tour after he had to cancel his one last year. On a side note, there was this weird random guy who tried to put broken wrist bands on my boyfriend and I and tell them they were "backstage passes" and that someone had ripped them off. Seriously, who would do that? It obviously wasn't legit, but oh well. Sorry, I'm not much for writing reviews. All there is to know that his shows are unbelievably fun and if he's in the area DEFINITELY go see him.
