The show was good but not what I expected. I thought there would have been more dances rather than a long interview session on her past, present and future journey.
It was wonderful seeing Misty Copeland and dancers from the ABT in LI. Misty was interesting and insightful in her answers to questions. During the "Meet and Greet"she was gracious and charming. The performances were breathtaking and the ballerinas were breathtaking! Misty's children from her afterschool program were engaging and awesome! Overall, it was a wonderful evening!!
Quite a few of us in the audience felt misled by the way this event was promoted. We thought we were going to see Misty Copeland dance. We did not expect her to be interviewed. Some of us traveled a distance to see her.
