Awesome venue for the best band ever. What more can I say.
Great venue! MTB had a nice setlist in my opinion but played what seems like a short set.
Minus the Bear played a 10 year anniversary tour for their record Menos El Oso. It was incredible. They sounded great and really engaged the crowd. Best band.
I had an absolute blast seeing Minus the Bear play all of Menos el Oso in its entirety. They brought so much energy and everything was on point.
Murder by Death was the best part of the show. They couldn't have played with more passion or skill. Minus the Bear's set list blended together in the middle of the show and was a little forgettable. Minus the Bear was still good overall.
I've waited so many years to see this band live, and they were touring my favorite album, the album that served as somewhat of a soundtrack to my life for the past ten years. 17yo me and 27yo me both lost their chill. The band was amazing, set list was perfect, everything was amazing. Only thing is they turned the a/c on way too late so I spent the first two hours sweating my eyelids off, among other things. But overall it was perfect.
This was my 6th or 7th time seeing Minus The Bear and it seems like their sets get better every time. This tour they played their EP 'They Make Beer Commercials Like This' all the way through (only 6 songs), and then they spread about 1 song off of each of their other projects (old and new)
I'm a big fan of Minus the Bear and I've seen them before, they always put on a great show. This night, however, not so much. Their obscure song selections and complete lack of energy was confusing. It was almost as if they were angry to be there. Very disappointed.
It's very rare that a band such as minus the bear is able to come ALL the way down to ft lauderdale, let alone have a huge crowd at the show. The scene down here is different, the Spanish community takes over Miami. When I saw the amount of people in the crowd waiting for minus the bear I was happy. The venue is fairly small especially for a band that's been around long enough such as they but it was filled with young teens to adults in their 30's. Overall the show was amazing. They played a perfect mix of old and new songs, all of the musicians were having fun, with the crowd and each other. It really showed how much they love playing and that it's not "just another show"
Played the whole Beer Comercials EP and even gave us an encore. Such a sweet band, and I had the pleasure of meeting the band after the show.
Minus the Bear played their full album of Menos El Oso in all its gloriousness. I have seen them 5 times now and this was, hands down, my favorite show. They really connected with the audience and gave us more reasons to love them. The venue was great and the perfect size for this event.
Minus the Bear played a great mixture of old and new. Loved the acoustic set they played too. Fun crowd and fun band. Love them so much.
Minus the bear is an awesome band. I've seen them multiple times and they're always amazing. I am in a power wheelchair and they have an elevator to get upstairs so I was stoked.
INVSN put on an amazing show. Talked to the vocalist and the other band members after the show for a bit. Minus the Bear played all the right songs to make my genitals tingle. Cory handed us his pick and shook my hand. :D
Mtb was fantastic, as they always are. They even played a few songs from the newly released acoustic album!
The sound system was horrible all night for MTB and the warm up bands. The blending of vocals and instruments grades an "F". Fire the sound man. The band members performed excellent.
Minus the Bear never ceases to amaze me every time I see them. This time around, they played a bunch of awesome songs, however they cut out two: White Mystery and This Ain't A Surfin' Movie. Not sure what the reasoning behind this was, but I guess kerfew. Jake had a few issues with his guitar not working during Burying Luck, but that didn't stop them from rocking out like usual. They also seemed to really enjoy the crowd, as Cory and Jake kept looking around and mouthing thanks all night.
MtB show not bad, except for the damn LED / varilight gizmos. My wife and I both turned to each (and mentioned this) other during the first song. It felt as if we were being interrogated at the Russian border.
1st time hearing both of these groups. Snowbird was energetic and the vocalist tugged directly on my heart strings. It looked like the drummer was doing something with a foot pad as well as drumming. The guitarist rocked. For a young band they have incredible maturity and sophistication. Can't wake to listen to them in a more reflective environment. The Swede's were great. I'm partial to my rock being political and they mixed in enough to deliver great messages with fantastic ear splitting power cords. The front man owned the stage adn captivated us in the audience for there entire set. Just wished there was more time for both groups.
