Minus the Bear puts on a great performance !!

by Anonymous on 11/4/09Glass House - Pomona

Minus the Bear are incredible musicians and their live shows are no exception. The Glass House in Pomona is a smaller and more intimate venue and i got to see them up close. Great show, good sound, and lots of bars and stuff to do in the immediate area. I also brought a painting I made with me and the band signed it after the show !

    Minus the Bear

They played really well. The new songs sound fantastic and interesting. The 'old' songs sounded just as good as ever. Singer's voice started cracking second song in but it was more endearing than annoying. I am a big fan and this show has gotten me very excited for the next level of Minus the Bear.

    Play longer!

by EntertainedandLetdown on 11/4/09Glass House - Pomona

Let me start off by saying that the band was great. Apart from the bass player looking deathly ill, the band performed well and they were very entertaining. Much more than I expected given what I've heard about the band's live performance. What was concerning, however, was the length of time the band performed. I didn't go to see the opening acts, rather I paid a lofty $25 to see Minus the Bear, so when they perform for only an hour and 15 minutes I can't help but feel that I didn't get what I paid for.

Minus the Bear are crazy talented

by Fernando on 11/4/09Glass House - Pomona

Minus the Bear has a monopoly on talent. I had come from a string of dance pop concerts and after the 2 opening bands I wasn't sure if I was in the mood for some moody rock, but as soon as they started playing I knew the answer was yes. Now a days it's so easy to hide behind autotune and techno-y beats it's nice to listen to a band with genuine skill. They love their fans and their fans love them.
