My teen daughter was so impressed the first time I surprised her with tickets. We loved the first show and we keep coming back. Its a wonderful value, everything is decently priced. And its an evening about powerful women - as the dad of a 15 year old girl thats great. See you at the next show!
I brought three girls with me and we had a good time and I would probably go again.
first time at a roller derby... it was fun and the general admission made finding your seat a lot easier than assigned. the rules werent all well explained, but being a first timer i wasnt expecting to know everything.
Roller derby was like nothing I've ever seen! Highly recommend seeing a "bout" in person.
We had a blast!! This is not only tongue in cheek entertaining but it is also a sport. These ladies are no joke!! We came early - picked up the tickets at will call, went to local pub for grub and libations then came back to the arena and grabbed our seats for the bout. Plenty more snacks and beverages inside too!! You'll want to come early to get seats together though. View is good pretty much wherever you sit. The half-time show with LIVE band! FUN!!!
As a first timer I didn't know what to expect from the MN RollerGirls. For about $15 I got an evening of quality entertainment put on by a group of people who seemed to enjoy what they were doing as much as the audience enjoyed being there. I would recommend this event to friends and I plan on returning in April. Maybe I'll even get my act together in time to get floor seats.
So glad we got tickets in advance to this sold our show. What a great time. The Roy Wilkins Auditorium was a great venue and staff there made sure everything went smoothly. We all had a great time.
A lot of fun! Very entertaining and such an awesome thing to get into. I'll definitely go again.
I didn't know what to expect, but it was fun! Great for families or for an adult group. Alcohol is avaialble. Great action!! It sold out, so get your tickets early!
This is must-go-to event in the Twin Cities. Highly recommend to anyone over the age of 18 (not so much for the younger crowd though they tout it as a family-friendly event), especially those who enjoy edgy humor, girl power, strong women, and a little noise. Didn't know what to expect and totally enjoyed myself, as did my cohorts. The halftime entertainment can be hit-or-miss (the night we were there they "missed" with a Guns 'N' Roses tribute band that I could have done without), but the games and teams are amazing. Even if you don't understand all the rules its' still enjoyable. The refreshments are ridiculously overpriced, but you can refresh before or after at plenty of great local establishments.
The Derby was awesome!! Go"Suzie Smashbox" The before bout and 1/2 time shows were "Interesting I guess"
I had heard a lot of things about the MN RollerGirls and something made me think the event would me much more action packed than it was. It was slow rolling, not ery much contact, etc. I was looking for a bit more excitement. Maybe you have to be really intoxicated to enjoy it?? :/
A great time was had by all in the group!! This is the second time I have attended and plan on attending this well into the future!! I only wish I was a little younger so I could try out myself. The half time band was far better than last months
Misfit Maiden is awesome! We had a great time! The GNR tribute band was awesome.

This is awesome entertainment. I brought my daughter, her friend, and the hubby. We all had a blast. The two teens got a black eye - OK, we paid someone to do it to them. Black eyes for a buck! Us two old folks had PBR, went down on the floor during half time to listen to the band, then cheered on Suzie Smashbox! Love those Garda Belts! We also got to sit behind Mae Gusta's Mom! She had awesome posters. It was a fun crowd and amazing entertainment for the whole family.
First, let me say that the RollerGirls were awesome. This was my second time seeing them and was no disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone with an open mind. There were two things about the evening that were not so awesome - the seating and the half time band. Due to transportation isses, we arrived right at 7:30 to find a packed house and very few people willing to move their coats for 2 girls to sit down. While it was great to see that many people in the stands, it was frustrating finding a seat and then watching countless others in the same situation. The half time band was lackluster at best. I much preferred the polka band that played the last time I went.
The derby was way more entertaining than I thought it would be. I was captivated the entire time. Definitely would see them again, if fact I plan on it.
