Michelle Obama on Tour
Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama is no stranger to the public eye. The Chicago native maintained a highly visible presence throughout husband Barack Obama's two terms as President of the United States, and was comfortable in any situation: serving as an international ambassador, visiting schools, or moving and grooving at a Beyoncé concert. Like other first ladies, Obama is also using her post-White House time to make a difference in the world. A galvanizing speaker known for her down-to-earth delivery and real-talk approach, she embarked on a book tour in support of her 2018 memoir, ‘Becoming,' with appearances full of storytelling and conversation.
About Michelle Obama
Born in Chicago, Michelle Obama grew up in a loving household that prioritized family and education. Accordingly, she holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton and a law degree from Harvard. Although Obama did practice law—in fact, she met future husband and President of the United States Barack Obama while working at a firm—she also held multiple private-sector jobs. Most notably, she was the founding executive director of the Chicago branch of Public Allies, a nonprofit focused on cultivating leadership in younger generations.
As First Lady of the United States for eight years starting in 2009, Obama continued to seek out socially conscious causes that benefit the greater good. She championed women's rights and education for girls; became a vocal supporter of military families and spouses; and promoted healthy eating via multiple initiatives, including the "Let's Move!" campaign to decrease childhood obesity. Since leaving the White House, she's continued to be an outspoken advocate for gender equality, education, and political diversity. More recently, she released her second book, the 2018 memoir ‘Becoming,' which follows 2012's New York Times best seller ‘American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America.'
The night was full of smiles, warmth and overcoming. Michelle Obama rocks and opens doors rather than locking people out of a world of richness. She hands out keys to everyone she meets, and they fit the doors that we thought we could never walk through. Inspiring is an overused word that fits her smile and her practicality. We are lucky to have her and I was blessed to be a part of this special night!
She was fantastic. I was excited to be in the Masonic Auditorium after many, many years. What I didn't like at all was that there was NO CAMERA work being done and so the people off to the upper side or way in the back NEVER GOT TO SEE HER FACE AT ALL. This is unheard of, really. Every concert or event you attend everywhere else uses the screens to make it a fantastic experience for everyone, regardless of seats. I saw she had a few of her own pictures to share and that was okay but we really saw NOTHING else from our seats. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
Michelle was fantastic! She IS our Forever First Lady! The only thing that made the night a bit of a bummer was her placement on the stage. We never saw Michelle's face; we only saw the back of head due to the placement of the chair she was sitting in.

Michelle is an articulate, educated, humane person. She gives her audience an excellent experience.
Michelle Obama was as amazing as expected. Eloquent, engaging and inspiring, just as she has always been.
This was one of the Best Bday gifts I could have ever received. Mrs.Obama Is one of a kind and a Gift sent from God. Her presence and Grace alone is Fantastic. Not to mention her Co host Tracee Ellis Ross is amazing. Everything about her Tour was worth going to see no matter where you sit.
I really enjoyed hearing Mrs. Obama and the in and out time was great.
Great atmosphere during Michelle Obama's talk -good balance between laughter, thoughtfulness and seriousness. The public was incredible! I was underwhelmed by the venue though.. Modern looking from the outside but quite old on the inside and uncomfortable seats.
There seemed to be no reason not to project Michele and Tracee’s faces onto the big screen. I couldn’t see any facial expressions. It was SUCH a disappointment
What an amazing woman! I loved her messaging and all she stands for. The ONLY complaint I have for her is that she should have turned and looked at the crowd behind her. Not once could we see her face. This I blame on her team understanding the venue. As for the venue - again her team should have noticed that the hanging speakers blocked the view of the screen and SHOULD have been noted on my tickets which said non obstructed view. It was a rookie mistake in my opinion, especially when we paid close to $300 per ticket! Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback!

I was in San Francisco for a conference and some colleagues already had tickets so I decided to tag along. What a fabulous experience! The tickets were pricey though!
This is a beautiful venue with streamlined entry. I had seats on the side of the stage. There was a monitor that displayed pictures during the presentation. However when Michelle Obama was speaking the conversation was not displayed. Therefore, we spent the entire evening looking at the back of her head during the conversation. It would have felt more engaging and inclusive to display the evening performance on the monitors.
We had all the excitement in the world leading up to the event. When we arrived it was easy and convenient to find our seats. The seats where on the floor to the right of Michelle Obama. The disappointment came when Michelle took her chair and was in a position that we never saw her face. We sat through the entire show watching the back of her head. Not even a camera on the a screen followed her face. With the price of the ticket and the seats we obtained we where told a book was to be with the seats we purchased. At this time we have not received the two books that where promised with the seats we purchased? Not very happy about that. And not sure what and when we will get the books? So in reality a very disappointed fan. Loved the conversation and Tracee!
Saw Michelle Obama on Saturday night at the masonic in San Francisco. What a wonderful night. She is so inspiring but so just like all of us. I highly recommend.
The program was fantastic! Glad to had the opportunity to attend. Not a fan of 3rd ticket agents that boost ticket prices beyond what most people are able afford just to increase profits for corporations.

Michelle Obama was so amazing..so many little tidbits I’ll remember for a lifetime about parenting and love and warmth and openness. She also talked about her own vulnerability and that self critical girl inside her that tells her everyday she’s not good enough. Michelle was very self conscious because as a child she was very tall. She was also very funny and very authentic and refered to President Obama as her ‘boo’ which was too sweet.
Michelle Obama and Conan O' Brien were amazing. I was so engulfed in their conversation that time passed by so fast. Before I knew it, they had to wrap it up. I highly recommend this event...She is just so amazing. As for the venue, it was clean and nice. They even provided masks! The only thing that I did not appreciate or liked was the way their seats were set. I stared at her back and the back of her head the whole time. I didn't pay over $100 to stare at the back of her head. They had big screens but didn't even bother putting their faces on it so people on the all sides can see her face which everyone paid to see!
