    Wildfire

by Twink on 3/13/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Great concert! Loved his song choices! Boy, are his fingers nimble on the banjo! Who knew his back up guitarist and singer was his own son. MMM had wonderful patter between songs. They looked like they enjoyed playing together and to us.

    Cowboy Christmas Tour

by Bill on 1/10/23Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

My wife and I enjoyed the show thoroughly especially the Vanderveer Brothers and the Dulcimer. We appreciated the good old fashioned American West values the music highlighted. We would see another concert by Michael in Grand Junction.

    Michael Martin Murphey

by Donna G. on 12/23/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - Austin

I have attended many concerts over the years. This was one of the best if not the best. The seats we had couldn’t have been better, this is a great venue. I hope to attend many more at the Moody Theater in Austin I would like to take my sister to Michael next year if he has one.

A True Artist and Genuine Person

by Steve on 12/22/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - Austin

The show was great. Even a little corny in a good and wholesome way. Michael Martin Murphy has been playing music since I was a kid. I’m now 58. I still remember Wildfire and a battery operated portable Panasonic radio and how sad it made me. Back to the show. The music was tight and very Texas and very Christmasy. I love the fiddle and they had an 18 year old kid who played something like a xylophone and man was he amazing! Michael was super personable and engaging with the audience and shared many personal stories and beliefs. You could tell he wanted to be there and put all of his heart and soul into his music. I would definitely see him again and would recommend you do so while you still can.

    New Christmas tradition

by Nonie on 12/22/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - Austin

The MMM Christmas show was so heartwarming. We love the story telling, the choice of music, and the “backup dancers” added a little theater to the production. The young musicians were awesome as they played the dulcimer and violin/fiddle. The only negative was with the lighting. The fast moving lights could be annoying and distracting (sometimes the lighting was too “disco-like”).

Very enjoyable and full of holiday spirit!!

by Holly on 12/6/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

It was like going back to the good old days of entertainment like the Lawrence Welk Show. I will say that I felt the dancers were very distracting and took away from the show. I really enjoyed his story's and the musicians. They did not need the dancers! They could use them in between, for a break, but too much going on on the stage at one time.

    Awesome show

by Cathy on 12/5/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

We definitely got our money's worth. Loved the stories that went along with the songs and Carin Marie has such a unique voice to go with her yodeling. The young brothers were amazing to listen to and watch play all the instruments especially the dulcimer. Totally enjoyed Murphy singing and will keep going to his concerts as long as he is doing them

    Very well thought out

by Danno on 12/5/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Cowboy Christmas theme followed throughout with a suitable amount of faith and Old West undertones. The performers were fantastic, Michael can still command an audience, and the storytelling throughout was excellent. Highly recommend to channel your inner cowboy.

I grew up on a ranch in the mountains of Colorado and experienced a lot of what Michael brought back to life in his performance. Genuine and outstanding

    MMM at Avalon

by GJ Musicphile on 12/5/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Everything about the venue was great: lighting, sound, comfort, ease to seating, and lobby. I have albums of Michael Martin Murphy so perhaps I expected too much, but I was disappointed that not one traditional Christmas song was sung. For me, there was too much story-telling that matched the video behind Mr. Murphy. The production was well done but there were too many other characters on the stage. I was ready for more pure music from Michael. I wound up just calling up one of his albums on my Sonos to properly finish of the evening.

    Love michael

by Vick on 12/5/22Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Michaels concert was incredible. First time ever for me to go to a concert at the Avalon theatre in gj. Every seat would have been good. Michaels concert was so much fun. I love how he shared from his heart. I really enjoyed the extra people he brought to entertain too. I've always liked Michaels music and seeing him in person nailed it. I would definitely go again.
