Michael Blackson has quickly become a show-stopping act since making his comic debut in 1992, cracking up audiences around the world with his onstage antics and top-notch jokes. Whether he's delivering one-liners or poking fun at the audience, the famed African King of Comedy proves he's a master of his craft that can keep crowds laughing with hilarious insights on everything from relationships to life in his native Africa. Sporting his trademark Dashikis, Blackson is a quick-witted stand-up act who's bound to have ticket buyers in hysterics as he hits the road for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

Born in Ghana, Africa, Michael Blackson was brought up on Eddie Murphy's comedic style, developing his own stand-up skits at a young age. After moving to Pennsylvania in the early '90s and testing out his jokes at local clubs, Blackson began competing in comedy contests, where his performances attracted attention from none other than Ice Cube. It wasn't long after they met that he appeared in Cube's hit film Next Friday, and his career took off from there.  Since then, he's had several more acting roles as well as stints on BET's ComicView and Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam, proving he's an all-around entertainer at heart with his impressive acting chops and outrageous skits. Showcasing his many talents on tour, Blackson will have fans doubled-over in laughter on his hilarious upcoming dates.

ALL the Comedians let us record them BUT Michael Blackson

by T on 11/1/22Bob Hope Theatre - Stockton

Every time Michael Blackson comes to the Bay Area, I spend my money to go see him. I think that was very inappropriate how the staff was going around telling us not to record him. Also he need to come up with some NEW and BETTER jokes. He tells the same jokes EVERY time he came to the Bay.

1st of all it started 30 minutes late. When he came out and started the show, we started laughing from beginning to end. He was hilarious! I will go see him again and again.

The show was great. I gave 4 stars because the venue was dusty and dirty. You could see the see build up.

The show was mediocre. There were not many people in attendance. The opening acts were funnier than the headliner. I should have gotten the nose bleed seats versus spending extra for the floor seats.

Michael was awesome. The only problem was the system at the theater. It was hard to hear most of the act’s and we had front seats.
