BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Ghana, Africa, Michael Blackson was brought up on Eddie Murphy's comedic style, developing his own stand-up skits at a young age. After moving to Pennsylvania in the early '90s and testing out his jokes at local clubs, Blackson began competing in comedy contests, where his performances attracted attention from none other than Ice Cube. It wasn't long after they met that he appeared in Cube's hit film Next Friday, and his career took off from there. Since then, he's had several more acting roles as well as stints on BET's ComicView and Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam, proving he's an all-around entertainer at heart with his impressive acting chops and outrageous skits. Showcasing his many talents on tour, Blackson will have fans doubled-over in laughter on his hilarious upcoming dates.
I bought the tickets as a gift for my husband for Father’s Day. He loves this comedian, and was excited when he found out we were going. He laughed nonstop. I’m glad I brought him.
1st time seeing Mr Blackson. He did not disappoint and the opening acts were funny as well!
Michael Blackson was hehe funny. And there was one pre-act comedian who was Hilarious.
Comedian K-Dubb, host of the venue that night was damn sure the funniest all night. Blackson did his thing as well in his typical format. Enjoyed it and would overall recommend it.
Very funny would definitely recommend to friends and family and attend again myself.
Honestly the host had me cracking up, very relatable humor, wish he'd have his own show, and the 2 comedian was great too.
Overall great show everyone was funny as hell but I didn’t like this venue
Kenny should have been the STAR of the show. I laughed the entire time he was on stage. Coco was great and I laughed a lot while she was on stage. Mike Bonner was alright. Not to fond of Blaxson.
Michael Blackson is a great performer. He put in a good show with two great performers before him.
The venue was nice and cozy the show was ok , it was short the artist is more funnier on instagram I was not satisfied maybe 50 percent
All 3 comedians before the main event were excellent.
Wife and I were in town celebrating our 20th anniversary. Comedians might have been funny, but I'll never know. Could only hear random words through the show due to the terrible sound. Michael Blackson had a good performance, wish I could have made out what he was saying. This venue is not good for stand up.
The show was all the way funny. Everyone of the comedians did a great job. It’s hard to make me lol but from beginning to the last joke.
I follow Michael Blackson on social media and find him hilarious, so I was very excited to see him. The Mahalia Jackson Theater was very nice. Michael was funny but the highlight of the show to me was A.J. Johnson!! This guy had me screaming and laughing until my throat started hurting. It is now two days later and voice still hasn’t returned to normal!!!
My husband and I really enjoyed the show. I wasn't aware others would be performing. All the comedians were good.
