Miami Dolphins History

The Miami Dolphins are the oldest continuous major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida. Founded by Joe Robbie in 1965, they began play in the American Football League as an expansion team in 1966, then joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. The team has made 24 playoff appearances, won 13 division titles, five AFC championships, and two Super Bowl championships. The 1972 Dolphins are the only fully undefeated team in NFL history, finishing the year 17-0 with a victory in Super Bowl VII.

The Miami Dolphins have 17 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including greats such as Larry Csonka, Bob Griese, Dan Marino, and Jason Taylor. Three Dolphins have had their jerseys retired: Csonka's number 39, Griese's number 12 and Marino's number 13.

Sat me right in the middle of the sunshine!

by Mack on 12/8/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Felt like I was at the beach. Sunburn all over my face and shoulders. Had to walk 2 miles to get to the car. After two back surgeries in three years I will never do that again. Hard rock Stadium is dead to me

    Atrocious parking experience

    by L. M. on 11/15/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Calder lot 21- great arrival experience and bus ride to stadium. TRAIN WRECK LEAVING! All the volunteers and police disappeared. Everybody was for themselves and no one really knew where to go and what to do. Pathetic!

Easy to park and courteous bus over-train wreck leaving

    by L. M. on 11/15/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Parked in Calder lot 21. Awesome assistance and easy ride I’ve. Leaving the stadium after game a nightmare! Volunteers and police disappeared! So many ways to do this better; Dolphins had no clue. Very frustrating and pathetic. Worse ever!

Great experience. Seats and views amazing. No complaints besides the parking problem. But outside of the parking issue, the experience was well worth it.

    Worst concession experience ever

by EHernson on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

I went to get a hot dog and soda with about 11 minutes left in the 2nd quarter by section 329. There were six lines and only 3 workers. It literally took like 40 minutes to get our food. I Moises then entire 2nd quarter and part of the half show. 3 people in front of us, got annoyed and decided to leave our line, which is the only reason we moved forward as quickly as we did. When we got to the counter, they didn’t have lids for the drinks, napkins, trays or straws. Also we got nachos and the cheese was cold. I fully understand COVID related issues, but this was extreme. On a better note, it was very easy and quick to get into the stadium, the process for the tickets on the phone was simple. The game was good and the atmosphere was fun and everyone was respectful. We even got a free lanyard and keychain.

    Awful

by Deb in PA on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

While the stadium is beautiful and the game was fun, even though we lost, after the game was a nightmare. I was given the wrong directions twice to the rideshare lot and then had to walk a very long time in the dark to get to the lot, no signs anywhere. It would’ve been nice to have all that information before hand and I probably would’ve rented a car.

    Vaping crackdown

by TAG on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

We had an awesome time at the Ravens Thursday night game. However, I would have thought there would be ushers near the seating areas. We had someone sitting directly in front of us and he kept using his e-cigarette even though they are prohibited. It kept blowing up in my face and was annoying the hell out of my wife and me. My wife vapes but we followed the rules and left it in the vehicle. I know that you can text the facility and notify them of any wrongdoings but we didn’t want to potentially cause a scene. If there were ushers monitoring the sections better then I’m sure there would be less of this going on. Otherwise the experience we amazing and the stadium is so cool!!!

    All but the uber

by Outastatefan on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Had no idea what to expect but entering the stadium was so easy, and staff were pleasant. Despite expense, food and drink venues were plentiful. The only issue is the lack of clarity on pick up spot for uber. Many folks not sure where to wait. Thankfully we walked up a block and got a taxi. Oh and we loss, but other than that all good.

by Erin D on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

We are Ravens fans and attending the game to root for our team. The staff were great. The stadium was under construction and had event staff telling you were to go. Every person outside and inside were friendly and helpful. The dolphin fans were great as well. The stadium was super clean. Will definitely go back !!!

    Underachieving

by Raven2021 on 11/14/21Hard Rock Stadium - Miami

Besides the fact the Ravens lost. Traffic was horrible. The hotel we stayed at had closed their bar/bestro due to staffing which was not on the website. Parking at the stadium was under construction and they parked us on a dirt/grass lot over a mile from the stadium. Some stadium policies were not as listed on the website. Food lines were extremely long waits due to card machines going down and due to covid no cash was accepted. On the upside most of the staff was friendly. For me I will not be attending another game in the near future at this stadium.
