Metallica was formed by drummer Lars Ulrich and singer/guitarist James Hetfield in Los Angeles in 1981; since then, their astonishing career milestones include winning eight Grammys and selling over 125 million albums worldwide, including the critically-acclaimed Master of Puppets (1986), often cited as one of the most important metal albums in history. They are also one of the most popular and commercially successful touring acts in history — according to Pollstar, as of 2019 Metallica had sold over 22 million tickets and grossed $1.4 billion in touring since 1982. Metallica’s fifth studio album, Metallica (1991), famously known as The Black Album, has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and features some of the band’s biggest hits: “Nothing Else Matters,” “The Unforgiven” and “Enter Sandman.” On six consecutive genre-defining studio albums (from 1991’s Metallica through 2016’s Hardwired… to Self-Destruct), Metallica has consistently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In support of their 2023 album 72 Seasons, Metallica’s M72 World Tour will see the band playing two nights in every city they visit throughout 2023-24.

We really liked them having the round stage, everybody got a good view of them, the big towers with the monitors was good too. The lights and pyrotechnics were awesome too. Audio in SoFi was great also. Hope to see Metallica again soon if they come back to Las Vegas.
5th time and always the best. From beginning to end they perform with enthusiasm and rage!
Sound was extremely muffled. Both nights. Very hard to understand singing
It was actually best weekend ever! Two nights of awesome music. So glad we decided to go. It was epic!!!!
Stage setup was HORRIBLE. And the lame video broadcast made it even worse with the lightning bolts interrupting the feed every 10 seconds. Bottomline, stadium shows blow. Sunday's setlist was WEAK due to the 'No Repeat' set.
I’ve seen Metallica live a handful of times, unfortunately, this was the worst experience for me so far. They are an amazing band, full of energy, awesome sound all around. But I’m not sure if it was the location where I was at (200s section), but the acoustics at SoFi were horrible. The vocals were in and out, at some points I could not understand the words, it was all muffled, for a rock concert, it was a “quiet concert”. Not the same experiences I had before. I’ll be researching more about the venues before I buy tickets going forward.
Great event, great music. Superior stadium. Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles California
A two night concert split with a day in between was a marathon I never wanted to run. Starting a concert at 6pm in the middle of rush hour traffic in LA was painful. Everyone was tired making it hardly enjoyable. The entire concert was one big echo. SoFi is a magnificent stadium but just not acoustically setup to hear any fast paced music.
Metallica delivered a great set and the place was packed. Definitely a rare and wonderful 'arena rock' experience, however, the sound at SoFi stadium was terrible. Not sure if the acoustics aren't ideal for this type of music (or music at all since its a sports arena), but I don't think I'd go here to see a concert again.
Almost every time I see them, I think they did better than the last. Though I would’ve enjoyed a little more from their Justice for All album, they couldn’t have performed better! It was amazing! The stage layout and the way they set it up to face the audience from every direction, in addition to walking around it through all songs, helped make it an incredible event for all! Blown away and still in awe.
Metallica proved once again why they are the best band in the world! I feel sorry for Pantera and FFDP though, you couldn't hear any vocals if you weren't in the lower sections. I don't think they allow the supporting bands to use the house speakers. Metallica sounded great. I will never go to So-Fi again for a concert.
Epic show! M72 Night 2 in LA was awesome. Metallica still rocks hard after all these years and this concert did not show any age-related-slow-down. Honestly, it was really impressive how hard these fellas still rock. SoFi sound quality is not great - but metal prevailed!
I wanted to see this band for years. I’m very happy I got to see them. Can’t wait to see them again sometime in the future.
Very very poor sound quality. No acoustics.Too much sound reflected. SoFi stadium is horrible.
Navigating through the stadium was easy. Great to see such a diverse staff working. The acoustics were the downside, if you knew a song great but if you didn’t it was hard to hear clearly. When the band would speak it was difficult to make out what they were saying because the sound was all over the place.
This is my 10th Metallica concert (1st was Irvine Meadows during the Damaged Justice tour) and they never fail to deliver. Two nights with a mix of classics from Kill 'Em All to 72 seasons
The sound was horrible at the Sofi, we could barley anything due to echoing. We were there both nights, Friday and Sunday, you would think they would have done something about it after Friday night’s complaint but organizers could care less. This is the LAST TIME I am going to Sofi to watch a concert. Horrible audio.
They always put on a great show! I have been a fan since 1985. They great everytime I see them in concert
Metallica rocked the house at SoFi in Los Angeles for 2 days. The show was amazing and the support acts Pantera, Mammoth, Five Finger Death Punch, and Ice Nine Kills all delivered great performances too.
