    An incredible show.

by NickRRR on 3/5/13House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This entire show was outstanding. The concert was scheduled for 6pm and started before 6:30, which was pretty impressive in terms of concerts. The House of Blues was an excellent genre and the acoustics were very good. Intronaut came out around 6:25 and played for a little over a half hour. I had never heard of them before, but their music was very interesting experimental/post metal. The bassist was outstanding as was everyone in the band. I was prompted to order their new CD based on their performance and sound. The mix was very good and let everything come through, even the bass, which I have found to be rare, especially at a metal concert. Once Intronaut was done, their equipment was torn down, and Animals As Leaders started setting up their stuff. It only took about half an hour, another quick set up. Their performance was incredible. Every musician performed amazingly well and the mix was perfect. Everything sounded tight and clean, it wasn't too loud, and the imaging of the sound was excellent. Their stage lighting was a refreshing change, and let the audience see them the entire time. They played video on two projectors, which meshed very well with the music. There were several drum solos in the middle of songs, which were very technical and awesome. Overall, this was the highlight of my night. After AAL was finished, it took what seemed like forever for Meshuggah to start. Between sets cheesy 80s electronic music was being played, which was amusing. Meshuggah's entire set was great. The way they started their songs was impressive, with no counting off from the drummer or anything, they just started out of nothing. The light show was very cool and was synchronized perfectly. The mix was also very good, but the sound was perhaps a little louder, which led to a bit of distortion. This could have been due to the fact that a lot of their music utilizes a lot of low frequencies. Jens's stage presence was very cool and the audience was very into it. The band's talent was excellent and the set was a good length. Overall this show was very good without any disappointments.

    visually and sonically captivating

by yarffej on 3/5/13House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

the intensely powerful and flawlessly executed musical performance by meshuggah is perfectly complimented by the masterfully constructed lighting display, which matched the texture and mood of the music at every moment throughout the night. add to this the humility and obvious respect of and appreciation for the audience the bandgoes out of its way to express throughout the night. a breathtaking tour de force from a brilliant act that obviously loves what it does for a living. thank you meshuggah !!!

The size, feel, architecture, quickness of the line, and sound at the Wiltern rule. Meshuggah's live show and performance was impeccable. They absolutely blew me away.

This was, hands down, THE BEST show I've ever seen both Meshuggah and Animals as Leaders play. Great sound, great lighting, great atmosphere. Absolutely LOVED it. I will return!

    Meshuggah was amazing

by AlyceRuuder on 2/24/13House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

All three bands were great. I wish they were here more often. House of blues was crazy expensive since I ate dinner there to pass the line, paid an extra 100 for front row balcony seating...but it was soooo worth every penny.

    animals as leaders was unbelievable

by bgsoulo150 on 2/24/13House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

The sound at HOB was so crisp and clear i could every note that Tobin would shred. Even more impressive was the super amazing drummer that just blew me away. Animals as leaders had all the beautiful subtle moment along with all the rip your face off screaming riffs u would hope for live. Meshuggah i have seen many time before but this was by far the best show.

    Wow. Meshuggah, AAL, & Intronaut???

by Jonnybrohan on 2/24/13House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

That was probably one of the best shows I've been to! First of all, Intronaut started nice and early with the new single "Milk Leg" and another new unknown song following that. A few more awesome songs were jammed(The Literal Black Cloud, Australopithecus, Core Relations) and their set was sadly over. Animals As Leaders was of course mindbogglingly insane! With songs like Tempting Time, Wave Of Babies, CAFO, Odessa, Isolated Incidents, Cylindrical Sea, Weightless, & Earth Departure you know it was a very enjoyable, lengthy set. But of course of the main band was MESHUGGAH! Was glad that Jens Kidman was back after being sick for the start of their tour with the aforementioned bands. They finished the night with an amazing long set consisting of these songs: Swarm, Combustion, I Am Colossus, Straws Pulled At Random, Bleed, New Millennium Cyanide Christ, Rational Gaze, Break Those Bones Whose Sinews Gave It Motion & Do Not Look Down.

    insane energy

by gkaranic on 2/18/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

About 30 sec after I arrived at the venue, Meshuggah took the stage. By the time their set ended about 80 min later, my neck was sore from headbanging. As one of the bands I've most wanted to see live, they did not disappoint. The venue was packed out and the crowd had amazing energy, especially for a (real) metal show in America in 2013. I was glad to see that everyone else was as enthusiastic about Meshuggah's singular brand of aural assault I was. I hope they have many years of new releases and touring still ahead of them.

    Everyone should have been there.

by Annabanana0713 on 2/18/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

While the AC kinda destroyed Animals as Leaders' tone, Meshuggah absolutely killed it in their performance. The lights were as if they crawled from the vilest corners of hell, and the technical vocal effects were downright dastardly. Hearing them play some of their old stuff, however, was what really made the show for me. I don't care that the singer was sick, I was too busy hurling my body into other peoples' and enjoying the sickest of sounds. Overall? One of the single best shows I have been too.

    Meshuggah killed it as usual

by stlman90 on 2/18/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

This is my second time seeing Meshuggah and Animals as Leaders and both bands were even more awesome the second time around. Intronaut, the opening band, were great as well and I will definitely be looking into them.

    My head exploded!

by michaelmf on 2/18/13Roseland Ballroom - New York

This concert was simply mind blowing. If you ever get a chance to see Meshuggah live, do it. It's unforgettable. The lights, the rhythmic mayhem with the underlying low tempo pounding. It feels like some sort of ritual.

    Meshuggah - enough said

by penguenpoposu on 2/18/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

I watched them from the front row, and that was the most unforgettable concert I've been to.. and I've been to many, many metal concerts.. Drove all the way from Pittsburgh (and back) for this concert, and these guys didn't disappoint one bit! They are a living legend, so go see them at least once in your lifetime, if you consider yourself as a true metal fan..
