    Brutal. Crisp. Great Crowd.

by RobertoRose1 on 2/18/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Animals as Leaders opened the show and were really good. As someone who had never heard of them I will definitely check them out. That dude is wicked on the Guitar. Meshuggah was fantastic. All the members are very talented...put on a great show. I had never seen them and was more than satisfied. One of the best crowds I've ever seen...extremely high energy, but everyone was cool. Will absolutely go see them again. Meshuggah is one of a kind!!

    Solid Lineup and Amazing Performances

by IAmKolossus on 2/17/13Roseland Ballroom - New York

Never heard of Intronaut until I attended this concert and their amazing talent shows why Meshuggah chose them to be on a tour with them. Dave from Intronaut was very cool after the concert with the fans and so was Sacha (who did vocals for New Millenium Cyanide Christ with Meshuggah). Next up was "Tobiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin Asasi" (I kept calling him that and made him laugh every time) and Animals as Leaders. As expected, the trio of AAL gave us a masterful performance where they showcased their immense talents to their full potential. Tosin Abasi is probably the greatest guitar player of the 21st century by far. The kid is not of this universe. If you ever get a chance to watch him live, do it. He's one of those once in a lifetime musicians that you need to see. Finally, the Swedish onslaught of polyrhythmic extended range insanity graced Roseland Ballroom with their presence. I knew Jens Kidman was coming out to perform for New York (despite the flu that had him miss a few shows on this tour) because there was nothing anywhere on the internet in regards to his status for the show. The song selection was almost perfect. They did forget to play Rational Gaze, Demiurge, and The Devil's Name is Surveillance. Their live sound was pretty much the same as how they sound on record which is nothing short of amazing.

    Meshuggah is fantastic

by BotafogoDoente on 2/17/13Roseland Ballroom - New York

Meshuggah was great, well worth the wait, I've been waiting for quite a number of years. This is along with Lamb of God one of the best bands in metal at the moment. Unfortunately, the two opening bands, Intronaut and Animal as Leaders, were quite disappointing. Animal as Leaders are gag musicians but the no singer and bass makes the music a bit lame and boring to,listen to for a 45 minute set.

It's about time they are headlining.

by Meshuggahistkrieg on 2/14/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

The best thing I've ever experienced. I feel very lucky to be a Meshuggah fan for 12+ years. Now if only Georgia could get their sound laws figured out so that the headlining band can actually play their FULL set, that would be nice.

    Beastmode

by TLar on 2/14/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

Meshuggah completely melted face. The energy was incredible. The sound was great and they were as tight as the cd. Animals as leaders were also incredible. Virtuoso guitarist, Tosin Abasi, sat with the crowd to watch meshuggah. Got to meet him. Very cool! I would recommend everyone seeing meshuggah live. There's nothing to be afraid of!

    Meshuggah equals Awesome

by EyeHeartMusicHella on 6/29/12Terminal 5 - New York

After missing them twice, thrid is a charm. I've been a fan for years. Tomas is one of my favorite drummers and seeing him live was a must. Finally it happened and these guys are awesome! The set list was beautiful! They played a few favorites! They sounded amazing. The things they do on the album, they did live. My mind was blown! If you like them even a little bit, see them live!

    Meshuggah Rule

by dimthingshine on 6/17/12Terminal 5 - New York

Late review but it is worth mentioning that this has to be my favorite band in the Death/Dark Metal style. They have interesting arrangements, prog metal elements, and are as intense as they come. Loud? Yep. I would see them again should they come back in the NYC area. The only thing I could live without is the mosh pit heads. But it goes with the territory. A++

    We marveled at greatness.

    by CMinor620 on 6/14/12Terminal 5 - New York

This was my second metal concert and I must say it was an inspiring show. As a musician myself, it was a great learning experience. Although I missed the first band Decapitated, Barroness and Meshuggah performed greatly. I also enjoyed this location; my first one was at Best Buy Theater which is much bigger but for a metal concert the majority of the people usually stand. Otherwise this was an excellent show, and I would definitely return to this location as many times as I can.

One of the best concerts I've been to!

by Anonymous on 6/14/12Terminal 5 - New York

I had been wanting to see Meshuggah for the longest time and they rarely tour in the states. This was a must go to concert for me and it was totally worth it. Meshuggah played their songs flawlessly and didn't miss a beat! That is a challenge since their songs are pretty technical. The crowd was wild and the music was amazing, definitely a must see band!!!! \m/

    Meshuggah are KINGS of Polyrhythm!

    by slipknotsk8ter89 on 6/14/12Terminal 5 - New York

The first band up was Polish death metallers Decapitated, which was my third time seeing them. They always kick ass. The second band was Baroness (which in my opinion didn't really fit the bill and should've been the openers). They were grungy hard rock with melodic singing and had a good performance, but felt more like an intermission band compared to the other two. The third and final band was none other than Sweden's MESHUGGAH! They were by far the best live band I've EVER seen!!! Period. Tallied results, weighed out previous concerts; these guys have an insane sense of groove to their music that comes second to none. They're actually credited for inventing a genre. Just a tremendous pulse to their tunes that gets you headbanging and moshing uncontrollably. Meshuggah have left a PROFOUND impact on me, and will be very difficult for another band to top.

    Meshuggah, enough said

by Andrewdmfc on 6/14/12Terminal 5 - New York

If you ever have a chance to see meshuggah do your self a favor and do what you need to do. Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been too, the best detail that wasn't the band itself was the lighting, perfectly syncopated to the music in inventive, amazing ways, really indescribable. It goes without saying the band was perfect and played music from their first album all the way to their most recent and everywhere in between, playing all the hits and enough more obscure songs to appease every one. Well worth every penny, I hope to see you at their next NYC show

    Simply Amazing

by Anonymous on 6/13/12Terminal 5 - New York

The best show I've seen. They were super tight, with an incredible light show timed to their complex rhythms. I was blown away. Can't wait to see them again.
