About

MercyMe has been releasing hits in the Christian rock genre since 2001, when "I Can Only Imagine" caught the attention of the public and became the most requested song on a mainstream station in Texas. Despite the band's success on conventional radio stations, the majority of ticket buyers expect MercyMe's concert tours to be religion oriented, and they are not disappointed. Fans who attended the Rock & Worship Roadshow in 2013 described the tour as uplifting and filled with spiritual hits that included "Word of God Speak,” “All of Creation” and "You Don’t Care At All." The latter song is from the 2012 album The Hurt & the Healer, which reached No. 1 on the Christian Albums Billboard chart.

Millard formed MercyMe with Jim Bryson and Mike Scheuchzer in Oklahoma, and after releasing independently, MercyMe signed with INO Records in 2001. Their first album earned the 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA after "I Can Only Imagine" won two Dove Awards. On 2002's Spoken For, which peaked at No. 2 on the Christian Albums chart, the title track was the most successful. 2004's Undone brought with it hits like "Here with Me," "Homesick" and "In the Blink of an Eye." 2006's Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for a Grammy, due to hit singles like "Bring the Rain," "So Long Self" and "Hold Fast." All That Is Within Me was released in 2007, with "God With Us" reaching No. 1 on the Christian Songs Billboard chart. 2010 saw the release of The Generous Mr. Lovewell, while 2012's The Hurt & The Healer featured "You Are I Am" and the title track as the most popular songs. MercyMe has plans to continue its tour for The Hurt & the Healer album in 2014.

    Mercy Me was classic!!

by Lisaarlette on 10/24/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

The concert was wonderful!! They played a lot of their classic songs, along with some forgotten ones from early on. The words are so inspiring and after 15 years of music, they still have a true heart for God and reaching out to people. Fee and Jonny Diaz played with them, and they rocked the house as well. It was a great time for me and my teenagers. Thanks for the family fun event.

    What a show!!! Praise God

by 1986Bulldog on 10/24/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

This show was unbelievable. The crowd was a great mix of young and old, male and female. What a glorious God we serve. I wish the PAC would provide more of this type of entertainment. Who cares if you don't sell the place out in 2 minutes...This is great family oriented, Jesus worshipping entertainment and we loved every minute of it.

    The Spirit was present!

by hisAmazingGrace on 10/24/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

The presence of the Holy Spirit was with us! It was an evening spent not only with other believers, friends in Christ, but Jesus' Spirit was there with us as well. To see the numbers of God's children, youth and older youth gather together in Jesus' name in worship, gave me hope in what we can do as a Church as we go out to proclaim His name, and His hope and grace and mercy that He so graciously gives to us through His Word and Promises. May God continue to bless and give all of you strength as you remain faithful to your calling. Thank you, MercyMe, Jonny Diaz and Fee for standing "UP" for His Name! God was pleased last night!

by chelchel on 10/21/09Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

DEFINATLY NOT ONLY AN AMAZING GROUP OF MUSICIANS, BUT THE LORD IS WITHOUT A DOUBT WORKING IN THAT GROUP OF YOUNG MEN IN EVERY WORD THEY SAY. THE SPIRIT WAS FELT FROM EVEN THE JOKING AND LAUGHTER THEY BROUGHT BY MERE CONVERSATIONS THROUGH PRAYERS AND TESTIMONIES ABOUT CERTAIN SONGS! THEY DEFINATLY NEED TO COME BACK AGAIN! WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW AWSOME THEY WERE GONNA BE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS FOR CHRISTMAS PRESTENTS EARLY! EVERY SINGLE SONG WAS JUST A BLESSING, EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T NOW THE WORDS. JUST REMARKABLE! KEEPS IT TOGETHER BOYS! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

    What a Blessing!

by princejedimaster on 10/20/09Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

Wow what can I say. Started with the great Jonny Diaz. followed by Worship Music by Fee. And Mercy Me had a comicle introduction, and then not only brought the worship I so needed that day. But they brought it with their usual flair. My mom attended her first Mercy Me concert and was teared up. The only problem I have is they did not sing Homesick.

Steve Fee and MercyMe were Awesome!

by jackson2928 on 10/20/09Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

Concert was fantastic. Better than I expected. MercyMe didn't just play their songs -- they engaged the audience to participate. I loved the question and answer session, the funny jokes, and of course the amazing Worship Music. Offering their CD's for just $5 was so generous. I bought the tickets just to see the Steve Fee Band again (my favorite band of all time). I LOVE their music and their message that Jesus is Alive. Everyday, their songs remind me to honor Jesus in everything I do. My only complaint is that I wish Fee would have played longer and more from their new album (which is amazing). I knew it would be hard to top We Shine, but Hope Rising is just as amazing.

    MercyMe and Fee = AWESOME

by BeccaBean on 10/20/09Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

This concert was amazing. We went because we love Fee, but MercyMe was just as amazing. This was not a sit in your seat and sway to the music concert! There were lights and these sweet movie screens in the background. It was a great time and very entertaining!

    MERCYME - WOWEE!!!

by Chomodude on 10/19/09Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

What can I say? They rocked! They worshipped. They talked to the audience and granted some wishes. This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. They played their first half set, then brought up the house lights to have Mike (lead singer from the group FEE) go around the crowd with a microphone and they fielded questions for about 20 minutes or so. They were genuinely funny and showed care for their audience. Just a really REALLY nice bunch of guys. They had a little kid from the back of the theater come up and gave him an autographed pair of drumsticks. Then they moved on to their second set. It was truly amazing. Their light show was awesome. The sound was outstandingly mixed and it was just a fantastic overall production.
