About

MercyMe has been releasing hits in the Christian rock genre since 2001, when "I Can Only Imagine" caught the attention of the public and became the most requested song on a mainstream station in Texas. Despite the band's success on conventional radio stations, the majority of ticket buyers expect MercyMe's concert tours to be religion oriented, and they are not disappointed. Fans who attended the Rock & Worship Roadshow in 2013 described the tour as uplifting and filled with spiritual hits that included "Word of God Speak,” “All of Creation” and "You Don’t Care At All." The latter song is from the 2012 album The Hurt & the Healer, which reached No. 1 on the Christian Albums Billboard chart.

Millard formed MercyMe with Jim Bryson and Mike Scheuchzer in Oklahoma, and after releasing independently, MercyMe signed with INO Records in 2001. Their first album earned the 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA after "I Can Only Imagine" won two Dove Awards. On 2002's Spoken For, which peaked at No. 2 on the Christian Albums chart, the title track was the most successful. 2004's Undone brought with it hits like "Here with Me," "Homesick" and "In the Blink of an Eye." 2006's Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for a Grammy, due to hit singles like "Bring the Rain," "So Long Self" and "Hold Fast." All That Is Within Me was released in 2007, with "God With Us" reaching No. 1 on the Christian Songs Billboard chart. 2010 saw the release of The Generous Mr. Lovewell, while 2012's The Hurt & The Healer featured "You Are I Am" and the title track as the most popular songs. MercyMe has plans to continue its tour for The Hurt & the Healer album in 2014.

    MercyMe is INCREDIBLE!!!!

by SassieChik on 11/1/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

This is by far the best concert I've ever been to. What I love most about this band is that you can cleary see they are not in this industry for the money. They have a true passion for what they do, and they love to love and worship the Lord. The energy and excitement and passion for Christ just pours out of them! It's amazing how the presence of the Lord settled over all of us in the performing arts center that night. I am very much looking forward to them touring this area again!!!!!

The MercyMe concert with Fee and Johnny Diaz was wonderful. All the groups totally rocked. My only complaint was there was very little advertisement. The venue could have been filled if there had been better marketing. So many people missed an absolutely wonderful concert!

    Absolutely Fabulous

by KarlaP on 10/26/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

I have seen MME when they were at the Colliseum & now at the PAC....I loved both, but do have to say the smaller arena allowed for a more up close & personal feel. They are an excellent band & the worship was phenomenal. The opening acts were also very good.....Johnny Diaz & Fee were EXCELLENT & had a feel all there own in their worship.....complimentary to MME. DEFINITELY worth seeing!! :)

    A night of worship!!

by BornAgain on 10/24/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Plain and simple - maybe the most amazing concert I have ever experienced. The music was great, the band members truly connected with the audience in a personal way, and you could truly feel God's presence at the concert. Bart Millard of MercyMe leads worship like I've never seen. You can tell that he is a real man of God who wants nothing more than to spread the Gospel to the entire earth. To be in the same arena as several thousand other people all worshipping and praising God, raising their hands in praise to their Heavenly Father was truly a moving experience. I will never forget this night and can't wait until the next time I get to see them.

Can't say enough about Mercy Me. Solid in all aspects. Really touch the heart. The Spriit was there and filled the room. Fee was awesome; I bought both their albums. Johnny Diaz is very talented and is going to be big. Can't wait to hear more from him.

They did an outstanding job getting the audience involved in their concert. This concert was the best concert I have gone to. They were personal with their audience. I liked how they took a break and had the audience ask questions. Good job, MercyMe!
