Why was Maxi covered up like a hermit. We, ladies could not get our Maxi Priest fix. Where was Maxi. DC is a hard crowd, and they were did not give any love to Maxi. So, sorry my brother. I guess I will skip my annual Maxi Priest show in 2018. Bye Maxi. It's been fabulous! with love , L from DC
Always, always, always love Maxi and his band. It is wonderful to share in such a positive musical experience. Maxi still sounds great and continues to promote peace and unity. You get to forget your problems and the troubles of the world we live in for awhile and feel included in music that is about love and concern for others as well as dance the night away.
The show was nice. We paid for VIP seating which was not worth the $84.50 when others paid about $35.00 and had basically the same privileges really. I think that VIP should include something special for the price.
Never been to a Maxi Priest concert that wasn't amazing. After all these years, Maxi knows how to put on a show for his fans. So cool and down to earth. I just love him. One of my fav artists and I catch every show he has in NYC whether it's paid or free. Can't wait to see him again soon. What an awesome performance and artist.
as usual- the band was uplifting and entertaining- The up close experience creates a feel like you are right with the band at all times- You can see the motions- the expressions of the entertainers
This is the first time I've been to one of his concerts. I've been listening to his music for over 15 years. How special to celebrate his birthday. I thought the show was amazing. First time as well to BB King. We will return for more fabulous reggae music. Maxi Priests music rejuvenated my soul. His band members were amazing as well. I really loved at the end how they engaged the audience to figure what what song they were playing with just a few notes .
Both Maxi & Beres give you everything they have. My wife & I only wish it was a bit longer even though Beres provided an encore performance. My wife and I especially love Beres because his music brought us together. Thank you for an unforgettable evening. We will never forget it. One Love...
This is my third time seeing Maxi (Aug 2012; March 2013)! His performances are always great! He sings his "up beat" songs. The one thing I wish he would do is sing some of his R&B songs. Thought he was going to sing "Easy To Love" but he didn't. In time, I'll see him sing it. I love his voice (I love HIM) - he can sing anything. Oh yeah, and he is still "SEXY" after all these years (he and I are in the same age group - 50). And, if the opportunity presents itself later in the year, I will see him again. He's MAXI PRIEST!
This was a fantastic concert that included 2 of Reggae's finest artists & legends.
My husband and I had an awesome time at the Maxi Priest and Beres Hammonds concert on Saturday, 8/24/13. We even enjoy the intermission and the host of the show. I think everyone in attendance enjoyed the whole show because everyone was out of the seats dancing and singing along with the artists. Everyone was fully engage with all the entertainers. We had a blast !!!
Beres Hammond was awesome and you can tell he loves his fans. Maxi Priest was over an hour late...seems that's the standard for some performers now days. I probably wouldn't go to a concert with him being the only artist...he might not show up. Otherwise a great Show!
Concert started half hour late but was very entertaining....Didn't like the fact that we had to pay an "$10 minimum" to sit at the tables...
Maxi Priest is just an amazing performing artist. I'm strictly an R&B Soul fan...but Maxi Priest gives me an opportunity to explore and enjoy another genre of music... Reggae. I'm a big fan of some of his older classics "Close to You", "Best of Me", "Groovin in the Midnight", "It Wasn't Meant to Be", "You're Body Can't Lie to Me" and "Just A Little Bit Longer". These are the songs that lean more toward R&B than Reggae but he sings alot of them at his shows. "Close to You" is his biggest hit chart wise and the song that introduced me to his beautiful music. Overall, Maxi puts on a great show that no Reggae/R&B/Pop fan should miss. Go see Maxi Priest if he's in your town. It'll be the best show you've seen in years.
Maxi Priest was very worthwhile! he has an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind voice, and a tight band. Maxi had LOTS of energy and encouraged audience participation. A TRUE professional!
Excellent show! Maxi put on a great show ~ a real must see! CRAZY LOVE.
The show wasn't over crowded and Maxi Priest energy on the stage is awesome!!!
Maxi as always gave a fantatic show. I have been following his career for years, and every show he gives a 100 percent. I Love MAXI!!!!!!!
I really adore Maxi Priest. I can relate to all of his music. Although, I have never attended any of his concerts; His music touches my soul. I can't wait for the opportunity to attend his concert in the future. Love You Maxi...........Denise.
This concert was all about Marvin Priest (Maxi's son).
