Max & Ruby was a great show!

by Bsmile on 5/2/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Both my 4 year old son and my 6 year old daughter loved the Max & Ruby show. Where else can you get to see Max & Ruby up close like that? It helped that we had great seats in row 2 although I'm sure all the seats were great. We saw the show at the Keswick Theatre. I'd recommend this show to anyone who has children who enjoy seeing Max & Ruby on television. It's a cute show with songs and dancing too.

Fun Time with Max & Ruby

    by mi2girlz on 5/2/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

My daughter really seemed to enjoy the Max & Ruby show at the Keswick. It wasn't long...they even had an intermission and most of it was a live version of some of the TV episodes. They did the audience to participate. The only criticism I had was that it was a little hard for the kids to see above the adult heads in this theater. It is an old theater and not built with the new stadium seating we are now getting used to.

My child and nephew had a wonderful time. I loved how the characters interacted with the audience. I would definately recommend this event to a friend.

    Max and Ruby were forgettable

    by VUWildcat04 on 5/2/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

The costumes and characters were charming. The actors made a good effort but the show was slow and dry. I was bored, and my 34 month old son, along with his peers, were too. Not enough music / interaction. Good acting, good costumes - terrible writing.

because they love max & ruby

    by parentsof3girls on 5/2/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

The show was cute but not inspired. We went solely because our 3 year old LOVES Max & Ruby and the older girls used to. The voices were good and the energy was good, but it didn't really offer anything special from the stage that TV couldn't provide. We've seen that episode countless times. The ticket price was hefty for the offering.

Maybe my daughter just isn't into Max & Ruby as much as the other kids, plus we live an hour away from where the event was held, but I just didn't think it was worth the cost of our tickets (close to $70 for both of us to go!!). I was the caliber of a high school play. We went to see Yo Gabba Gabba last year, and that was much more interactive and a much better overall experience, since there were vendors handing out free items before the show, characters walking around (for free!) and other stuff.
