Max and Ruby was a cute little program for kids under 5, although it was a bit lengthy. The story line followed the TV show well and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.
The show was shorter than I expected it to be yet it felt like it dragged on and on. It was cute and the kids enjoyed it but I felt like it was a little corny. I wish they would have made Max & Ruby available for kids to have their picture taken with them. The kids would have really enjoyed that and I would have enjoyed the photo for my book of memories.
It represented the show very well. Kids loved it. Has some songs to het the involved. Seemed a little short.
If your child likes Max and Ruby I wouldn't miss this. It was very fun and they interactively involved the children at times...having them get out of their seat and dance. The characters where really cute and to the tee of Max and Ruby. My daughter will be 3 in Aug and this show was absolutely perfect for her. The show wasn't too long or too short with a 15 minute intermission. We sat in section A in the left orchestra area in row E...the seating was perfect!! They offer a cd at the concession stand and I highly recommend it....it's all the songs they perform in the show and my daughter loves it. With the purchase of 3 tickets, a cd, a light up star wand, and Max and Ruby t-shirt I spent roughly 100 dollars. It was all very worth it!!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
My kids absolutely loved this show! It was great. Very entertaining and would recommend to any parent who has a child that loves Max & Ruby!
My sons (nearly 4 and nearly 1) loved this show. It was more of a play than a show, really, and it was based on an episode from the television show so the content wasn't necessarily new, but my sons thought it was great. My pre-schooler was thrilled to see Max & Ruby in person. Judging from the audience I'd say the kids didn't care if the content was just reworked for a play.
had a great time, took my 3 year old little girl and she loved it, thats all she has talked about since we seen the show.
My wife and i took our 4 year old son to see max and ruby.It was a great show. very good production . he really enjoyed it.
The show was good, but it was short. Therefore, I did not feel that it was worth the $50 I spent on our tickets. My main disappointment was the venue's setup. The seating was not set up to host a show that is for young children. My daughter could not see over everyone's heads when she was seated, and then she was not able to sit on her knees because the seat would fold in on her (like movie theatre seats). My only other disappointment was the long intercession for a 1 hour show. It was so long that all the children were getting very restless for the show to come back on. I am not a negative person, so I do want to end on a positive note by saying that my 3-year-old daughter enjoyed the show but did not neccesarily love it.
The Max & Ruby show was fun and not too long. My kids sat and watched the whole show. Just like the tv show.
It was cute but short show. Max character was played very well.
Took my granddaughter and great neice and had a wonderful time. the kids thought that it was the best show that they have seen and they have seen a few.
I don't usually submit reviews, but after seeing this show, I wanted to let other parents know about it. My biggest complaint is the ghastly amount they charged for this show! At $35/ticket, I expected a great show with some pretty decent production displays. (I had just paid a few dollars less/ticket the week before to see Elmo, and that was a terrific show!) What I got was a performance that was a borderline high school musical! The onstage props were sub-par, manually moved around by the "human" actors, and even Max and Ruby themselves had to move them around onstage periodically! There were awkward pauses at times, as it seemed the actors were waiting for the music to begin before they could continue. The plot seemed a little choppy as they were trying to get in a lot of the Max & Ruby stories in a short amount of time. I would have given this less stars, but my 3 year old seemed to enjoy it, and at least that made up a bit for the less than stellar show, and the highway robbery for the ticket price! Save your $ and go check out Elmo!
i have taken my daughter to quite a few live shows and i have to say i was a little disappointed in this one ranks in the bottom 2. while my daughter absolutely loved the show i thought it was a poor production of it like a bad stage show you would watch high school students put on could have been done so diferently. Its my daughters favorite show so maybe i expected more for her sake but she did love it anyways which is only reason i would recomend it. also the merchanidse was a little pricey and wasnt much of a selection either.
This was a great event for very young children who can't sit for long. The show was quite short, with a 15 minute intermission after only a half hour of show. It was cute, but my 4 year old got bored by the end since she had seen this particular episode on TV many times. My 8 year old liked it, because she enjoys the theatre. I found it to be expensive for such a short show and the items that you could buy were VERY overpriced (which is normal, I suppose).
My grandson enjoyed the show very much. He is 3 years old and was able to participate as far as clappping and answeing question to the children. My only negative comment would be the cost of the tickets. I realize that a childrens show should not run too long, however it was only about an hour total in length and the tickets cost $65 each.
Never mind what I think. My 4 year-old twins loved the show and that's what made it worthwhile.
The grandchildren really enjoyed the show -- even though the oldest (4) already knew the story of "who's birthday" Max and Ruby were celebrating. The show mimicked an episode of the pair. Singing was good, staging very cute.
A great production at a wonderful venue. I am not the biggest Max and Ruby fan but my 6 year old has loved them for years. I was suprised by how good this production was, mostly in the way they brought Max's toys to life. My son was thrilled.
Show was very low budget and so corny. Even my daughter who is 6 thought it was boring. Tickets were very overpriced for what you got. I think show only lasted a little over one hour total.
