About

Max & Ruby take to the stage their most magical performance yet! Inspired by one of the greatest musical scores ever composed - Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite - the beloved bunny siblings star in Koba Entertainment’s brand new musical production Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite. Max & Ruby have been anxiously waiting to see The Nutcracker ballet with Grandma. Imagine their disappointment when a snow storm keeps them at home! A story of the Nutcracker will have to do! So vivid is Grandma’s storytelling that the characters in the ballet come to life right before their very eyes!

Great show! We loved the balance of 'cartoon' story with real ballet dancers. Both kids loved it! The price was high, though and we couldn't have come if we were paying for it all by ourselves.

Good, but a little too much ballet dancing for us

by Delta12 on 11/14/12Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Would've liked to see Max and Ruby do more of the performing, instead of seeing a lot of ballet dancers.

    max and Ruby huge disappointment!

by ConcertRockerCutie on 12/5/11Comerica Theater - Phoenix

I was really looking forward to this production. My friends and I plan "playdates" with our children for most child production that stops in Phoenix. This was a huge disappointment, even the kids wanted to play with our iphones instead of watch the show. The set is very cheap. They use a ply wood bus the actors hold up with a railing, the curtains are painted with teh back drop and the props are pathetic. It's obvious they didn't spend a lot of $ on this production. VERY DISAPPOINTING! It was hard to see the characters and it doesn't have the magic of Max and Ruby's tv show. Also, the scenes are long and boring. The shopping scene for a birthday gift was way to long. the kids were wiggling in their seats and just wanted to see MAx who doesn't have a very big role in this show. Do yourself a favor. Save your $ and buy tickets to Yo Gabba Gabba the next time they are in town! That's the best show I've gone to yet! the Disney on Ice shows are good to. Stay home from Max and Ruby. This one was boring and very short. It lasted about 45 minutes WITH an intermission! The characters didn't come into the audience for a photo opp, the set was painted on curtains and boring and the script left much to be desired. I would give this a minus 1 Star if that was an option. DEFINATE thumbs down and I really enjoy the TV Show. I had high hopes for this play and was very disappointed. You know the show stinks when the 3 and 4 year olds were asking to play the games on IPhones instead of watch the show and we had 8th row tickets. Thumbs down for Max and ruby. Even Grandma can't fix this episode. They do address "where are the parents?" They sing a song explaining the parents are there just busy cleaning or doing something different in a different area of the house than where Max and ruby are located. No the parents don't make an appearance in this play either. Disappointed. Not many tickets were sold when we went to the performance. Skip this one and save your money for a new MAx and RUBY DVD instead of waisting it on a ticket for this boring show.

Rosemary Wells characters came to life, and my son laughed and danced all through the Bunny party with Max, Ruby, Louise and their special surprise guest. If you are a fan of Max and Ruby, you will enjoy the blending of your favorite Max and Ruby stories in a fun filled live show.

    Too short

by Nicc5 on 11/22/11Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention Center and Entertainment - Long Beach

I took my 3 year old to see this, she loves Max and Ruby! It started 10min. Late which was fine, but then after 20 min. They went on a 15min. Break, when they came back on they showed another 20min. And I thought, " wow another break"?? Nope..it was OVER!! I was upset because the look on my daughters face was devastated!! She loved the whole 40min. Of it..but it was ot worth the money:(

Max and Ruby in Long Beach, CA was the best!!!

by Nikki76 on 11/22/11Terrace Theater - Long Beach Convention Center and Entertainment - Long Beach

This live show of the children's show Max and Ruby was by far THE BEST LIVE SHOW we have been to and we go to many!!! The character costumes were almost exact replicas of the actual bunny rabbits from the show as they could get! The plot was from two of the more popular episodes of Max and Ruby, so children & parents were loving it! There were also live actors as well as the dress-up ones, which made it even more interactive. This show literally brought to life not only the characters from the show including Max, Ruby, Louise her friend and the beloved Grandma BUT ALSO the TOYS from the show!!! This made my little 4yr. old even more excited! Great music, great fun and overall a great Max and Ruby experience! For those wondering, we were allowed to take pictures & video. A+++ to the Long Beach City Terrace Theater!

I am extremely disappointed that alcohol was served at a childrens event. Anyone who drank probably drove home. I wll never attend another event held at this location for children!

by BEDD on 11/8/11Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

My daughter and I took my 4 year old Great-Grandson to the bunny party show and it was so great! The characters were just like the videos and books! The costumes were adorable too. There was a great cast of characters and the music was so good.. My great-grandson enjoyed it so much. When it was over he said "I want to see that show again"!!!!

Very overpriced for the level of production

by Faith90 on 11/8/11Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

The kids did really enjoy the show but the overall production - props, stage set up, costumes, "wow" factor -or lack thereof, was very poor. We paid about $200 for a family of four for the tickets alone. If they offered a character meet and greet - a photo opp- before, intermission and after - that would make it worth it. Went to see Barney last winter and it was much more engaging and interesting. Kids were up dancing and singing much of that production.

Wasn't too impressed. I only paid $10 a ticket so I think I got what I paid for, but I would have been upset if I had paid more.

    Max and Ruby was BO-RING!

by Wallpaperlady on 11/7/11Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

I've been to see a few kids musicals such as Sesame Street Live and My Little Pony Live, and Elmo Grows Up, and I must say this was the most boring kids musical...barely held my kids attention.

Max & Ruby really came to life!

by SJS75 on 11/7/11Verizon Theatre - Grand Praire

This was an awesome performance! My nephew absolutely loved it. The costumes were the best I've seen in bringing an animated series to the stage. The story line was great and the songs were so cute.

by PamtheGram on 11/7/11Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

The performance was great! Characters looked and sounded like the ones on the tv show. The show held my three-year old granddaughter's attention the entire time. There were no boring moments that lost the kids. The set was elaborate. Great production!

    Max and Ruby

by Number1M0m on 11/7/11Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

I was not impressed with the show and neither was my three year old daughter. For tickets costing over one hundred dollars the show was not long at all. Plus, paying fifteen dollars to park was ridiculous. The show was dull and I would not recommend this show to my friends with children.
