About

Max & Ruby take to the stage their most magical performance yet! Inspired by one of the greatest musical scores ever composed - Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite - the beloved bunny siblings star in Koba Entertainment’s brand new musical production Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite. Max & Ruby have been anxiously waiting to see The Nutcracker ballet with Grandma. Imagine their disappointment when a snow storm keeps them at home! A story of the Nutcracker will have to do! So vivid is Grandma’s storytelling that the characters in the ballet come to life right before their very eyes!

    Max and Ruby Fans rejoice

So here's the deal with this event, if your child liks/ max and Ruby they will like the show. if your child loves Max and Ruby they will love this show, but if they are unfamiliar with it or nto too into it it will be a snore fest. A trifle costly on the overall for such a short set but to me that can always be worth it since my daughters eyes were a glow throughout the performance. A big difference is they perform music often which the show does not and human performers as well. I think if they were songs kids knew it would be much more njoyable. I rated it a 4 out of 5 stars though because my kid loves Max and Ruby and loved this performance.

    Max and Ruby hmmm

by Lanitoots on 4/25/11Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

I wasn't to pleased with this show, it was really boring. Not much interaction with the children, if you looked around the kids were laying down on their parents or twiddling thumbs. We have a 2 year old daughter and the only time she was into it is when they asked for the audience to clap there hands, or repeat words. Alot of talking and not much of anything else, it was like a really bad school play. we left early

The show was great! I'm 18 and took my two little sisters (ages 11 and 2). They both loved it, and I even found myself singing along. Definitely recommend this show!

We were looking forward to the performance and have to say, we left feeling a bit disappointed. An intermission for a 1 hour show? A 15 minute intermission after a short 1/2 hour of the show with a room filled with antsy little ones? Why? We saw the show at the Orpheum Theater in Boston. We thought we had good seats in the orchestra but found that we sat behind these absolutely enormous speakers. My husband and I wondered why they needed the huge speakers since we had a hard time hearing the characters. A good part of the show took place on left stage ~behind the speakers. The show was pretty good but the theater left us disappointed. The kids did enjoy the show.

    Eh

My kids liked it. I honestly expected more. I understand the audience for this show is mostly comprised of toddlers/pre-school children. Even so, I was not that impressed. I'm not sure why "real" humans were there. There aren't any humans in the cartoon, so it doesn't fit. Seemed as though they were just added as "filler" and used to make the show longer. There were welcomed attempts at audience participation, but in a small theater it's not practical for everyone to rise and dance.

Max & Ruby was delightful! A hit with the kids.

Max and Ruby far exceeded my expectations. My husband and I went with our 19 month old and 3 year old sons. They both loved it as did we. The singing was great by the non-character cast. Max, Ruby and all of the bunnies were lively and entertaining. The costumes were great and the audience interaction, pacing and length of the show was perfect for young children. I would go see this show again. It was well worth the price.

I guess I was expecting more. It was good. My daughter enjoyed it and she is 3 1/2. She was in the isle dancing at times with the robot. That was the best part. More interaction with the audience would have made it better.

My two year old granddaughter was transfixed! 15 minute intermission was a drag though. Really cute production. It moved along and kept the attention of the little ones. A treat!!

voice wasnt very clear, considering the noise that was coming form the little ones, the voice should have been louder, there was no interaction with the kids, My little one was bored, we even left before the show was over.
