About

Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.

Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.

In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off The Boat, BET's North Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny.

In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.

    Excellent show

by OMac6405 on 5/9/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Loved the show, the venue was okay. The chairs were close together but at lest they were soft. The bad part was the venue closed the bathrooms in the lobby md everyone was herded out like cattle free the show all the way back to the food court/casino.

My face still hurt the next morning from laughing!

by Chris on 5/8/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Tickets to the show in my hometown of Pittsburgh were sold out so I went to see the show in Las Vegas this weekend. It was fabulous! What sets Matt Rife’s show apart from other comedy shows is his ability to be hysterical in the moment & totally unscripted! I highly recommend the show! I laughed the entire time; so much so that my face really did hurt!

    The seats were horrible !

by Booooooo on 5/8/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The seats were horrible, the person on my right and on my left were literally half way on my seat, I’m still sore from the weird position I was stuck in for hours. The show was great but sadly the the seats made it so uncomfortable that I wasn’t able to enjoy it.

What a great show! Man stopped the show for a member of the audience having a medical emergency.

    Mediocre Performance

by I Like To Win on 5/7/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I was expecting a fun night but Matt Rife’s performance was off at the 10:30 show.on May 4th. The second opening comedian was hilarious, so much better than Matt Rife.

    Great show!

by Kirsneezer on 5/7/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Matt is hilarious - opening comedians ok. Joe Gatto from Impossible Jokers did a cameo during the show. Only drawback was that the floor seats were too close together and had no padding. Balcony seating nicer seats.

    Not impressed

by Sasha on 5/7/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I was truly looking forward to Matt’s show. Waited months to see him. Got floor tickets. But it wasn’t close enough to see him. So I bought front row seats minutes before he went on stage. All the footage I saw on media of him made me want to see him badly. I was sorta disappointed. It truly was not what I expected. I guess my bar was high. I’m sorry to say all that hype I saw on social media was not delivered.

    So funny

by Rachel on 5/7/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The seats were a little uncomfortable especially for being row 6. Our butts were sore after. Could have had a little more elbow room as well. However overall excellent. Laughed so hard and thoroughly enjoyed the show

    Definitely room for improvement

by Brickhouse95 on 5/7/24The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I do not recommend them using the Cosmopolitan venue. The show started over an hour late and then we were rushed out of the space. No apologies were made by the venue or the artists. They only celebrated how "great"the Cosmopolitan was. We had VIP tickets but it was definitely not worth it. A cheap duffle bag, scarf, poster, and notebook. The seating wasn't marked properly so we had to be moved around. The seats were definitely uncomfortable; it could of been from sitting on them for a total of four hours. We had to waited a total of two and a half hours before the show started. When the show was over, no one was allowed to use the restrooms. My ID and ticket were checked multiple times (6) while everyone else was only once outside and inside. My husband is Caucasian, they didn't check his ID and tickets like mine. I was hoping it had nothing to do with my race but evidence points to the opposite (only 10 black people in the audience; yes, I counted). MY husband and I also stayed at the hotel where the venue was held and they were refusing us entry to go back to our room while letting others go through the roped off area to their rooms. We had to show IDs again, at least this time he was requested to show his too! The actual show was okay. It seemed to be rushed because of their lateness. The first two comedians were actually funnier than Matt. Matt seem to be having a off night. Definitely was nothing like any other comedy shows I have been to. It was drastically overpriced, like everything else in Las Vegas. I have followed Matt's career since April 2023 so I was really looking forward to this but this was very disappointing. It was nice to see him live, is the only positive I can take from the experience.
