About

Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.

Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.

In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off The Boat, BET's North Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny.

In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.

    Hilarious

by Donna E. on 3/25/24Massey Hall - Toronto

Hilarious, non stop laughing. Matt Rife was hilarious but his two opening acts were also top notch, super funny. Alex and Jackson were their names. Loved the show and would definitely go again.

Alex and Jackson ( opening acts ) absolutely killed it šŸ‘Œ and Matt was phenomenal !! Had us in tears ( literally ) . Best stand up weā€™ve been to by far šŸ‘ŒšŸ†šŸ† . Hoping he comes to Ottawa,Ontario so i have a chance to take the entire family šŸ¤žšŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

    Matt Rife & gang

by DTMayz on 3/24/24Massey Hall - Toronto

Matt and the two gents who came on before him were hilarious. In a time of over sensitivity and learning to navigate the mind fields, itā€™s nice to see comics standing up, literally, to protecting and projecting their craft to remain uncensored and pushing boundaries. Thereā€™s no laughter and humour in safe jokes. That in itself is a joke. Kudos, and keep it brothers. Side note: I do like how interactive Matt is with the audience though. It keeps things fresh and local, which is a nice touch. Not everyone will like that, but I did.

    Lots of laughs great show

    by Patsfan84 on 3/24/24Massey Hall - Toronto

Was a great show all 3 comics were funny, Matt was even better in person then all the clips I'd seen. He was quick on his feet with jokes when interacting with the crowd which definitely can't be rehearsed since each person is different at each shoe, and he absolutely killed it with the set. Well worth the price.

    Great show

by Dee on 3/24/24Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Amazing work with the audience. If you get easily offend, don't watch him. If you understand the idea of him being a comedian he is great. He is quick and things he says are just funny. Let loose he isn't here to offend anyone, he's a stand up. Here to make you laugh.

    A few laughs

by Mm on 3/23/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Show was good but he (Matt rife) started almost half hour late which cut into the length of the performance. Would have been nice to have the headliners on a big screen for us poor people in the very back to be able to see faces and the venue was soooooo hot not sure if the air conditioner was broken or what. Overall I give the whole evening about a 3.

    Great show

The first show opener wasnā€™t very funny but the second one was hilarious, and as we all know matt rife is awesome. It was a great evening of laughs.

    Smaller venue

by Britt on 3/20/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Hes hilarious dont get me wrong but way to big of a venue sitting so far up can barely see anything. A smaller venue would have been preferred and more crowd work from him. Getting was supid busy waiting in line for a drink took 20 mins, getting out felt like a sardine.

    Great Show!

by Ali on 3/19/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The guy who came on first was really good too, but being able to see Matt Rife in person was amazing! He was so funny! I just wish I could have taken a couple pictures, but security would not allow that, and I was kind of disappointed. I understand if there are no videos allowed, but pictures would have been nice.

    Not impressed!

by YYC on 3/19/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

He had some jokes but they are not terribly funny. Unfortunately wasnā€™t very memorable and definitely not worth the trip to a neighbouring city to see him.

His audience interaction and timeing is great. Both the opening acts were terrible! And the show started 20 min late

Expected a better show but it was quite flat. Opener was funny, second comedian really missed the mark. Matt was meh.

    Enlightened

by CdnMama on 3/19/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was going into this show for some laughs and (letā€™s be honest) eye candy lol Matt was very sincere and open minded about many topics, especially those about people with disabilities and words used. Definitely would recommend such an amazing comedian and human being

    No Headliners Please

by JB1970 on 3/19/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Matt Rife himself was great, but I didn't pay that much money for tickets just to see him for 45 minutes. I wasn't expecting the first 45 minutes to be 2 other comedians that I didn't know. My assumption was that PRICE was for Matt Rife. A bit disappointed. I think for that much money, I would have just watched him on social media instead.

Not a good bang for the buck

by Mile on 3/19/24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Was disappointed that the show started 30 min late. The first 2 opening acts were good. Mattā€™s set was a bit of a disappointment as it was not that funny. Think the media has blown his image up so high that he will not be able measure up. Generally it was a great date night with my wife but way to much over priced for what I got in return.
