MATT MAHER IN CONCERT:

Singer and composer Matt Maher’s worshipful performances are infused with personal storytelling as much as they are with praise. His sweeping songs are pieces for reflection, but rather than get mired in introspection, they veer towards the energetic, encouraging passionate participation from audience members. While his meaningful and profound music appeals to contemporary Christians of all ages, it truly resonates with a new generation of believers in need of spiritual renewal.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Canadian born singer-songwriter Matt Maher found his musical calling upon relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, when he received a graduate jazz scholarship to study at the University of Arizona. He earned his way through school playing piano in hotel bars and fully developed the great breadth of his talent. He released three records on the small Spirit and Song label before inking a deal with Sony's Essential Records for his 2008 major label debut Empty and Beautiful. Since then he has performed for popes and mass revivals and released three more full-lengths that all charted as top ten Billboard Christian Albums.

    Matt is a truly gifted musician...his performance and the venue were very intimate...while I had not heard a number on the songs, his ability to convey the story behind the song made for a very prayerful experience...I would travel to see this concert! Opening acts-especially I Am They-were superb!

    The atmosphere was amazing- believers coming together to enjoy moving music. I enjoyed all the warm- up gigs, especially Jon Guerra. His music felt authentic and from the heart. I was deeply moved by the story from the member of I am They about finding God before his second attempt of suicide, and I prayed for all who suffer that they too may find God in the midst of darkness. I did not appreciate the sell of the stork mobile. A good cause- perhaps. Brochures and information in the lobby- definitely. A quick 1 minute info instructing audience to check out ministry info in the lobby-ok. This was a music concert. Asking me to raise my hand for more information on donating to the stork mobile did not feel right . No thanks to that!

    Recently saw Matt Maher and I Am They in Hagerstown, MD and absolutely loved the show!!!! I would absolutely recommend to friends! The tickets sales were easy and affordable, with advance sales at $21.00 per ticket. The event was held at the Maryland Theatre and was general admission. Everyone at the venue, including the teams selling artist gear, we're all so kind and helpful. I hope that we begin to have more events like this in Hagerstown because it was fantastic!!!

    matt maher was great! i must admit, tho, audrey assad blew me away! her voice is incredibly pure and she sings so effortlessly. if there is someone out there with a more beautiful voice, i haven't yet heard it!

    GREAT, we loved it and would go back in a sec..Matt Maher is great, Audrey Assaud is great and she was his opener. Loved it the whole thing!
