BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Mat Kearney was born in Eugene, OR, but it wasn't until he attended college in Chico, CA that he discovered his passion for music. Following a trip to Nashville, Kearney picked up his roommate's guitar and begin plucking out tunes, and before long he was performing at local coffee shops. He linked up with producer Robert Marvin, and together they moved to Nashville and recorded Kearney's 2004 debut album Bullet. The record attracted the attention of execs at Columbia Records, who signed the budding singer just in time for the release of his 2006 sophomore album Nothing Left to Lose. That record was a hit, peaking at No. 2 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and receiving placement in several major TV shows. Kearney's next album, 2009's City of Black & White, topped the Christian Albums chart, and in 2011 he topped both the Christian chart and Top Rock Albums chart with his fourth album Young Love. An inspiring and emotional performer known for his soulful voice, Kearney continues to treat ticket buyers to passionate and moving shows on tour.

Wonderful concert, totally clean and family friendly. Pretty much a great view from anywhere in the stands. Would not recommend the opener, Steinza, he needs therapy. Other than that, love seeing Mat live and was a fantastic venue.
First time seeing Mat and first concert at the Sandy amphitheater. The setting was great. Easy to get in and find our seats, lots of leg room, and an overall pretty setting. Sound was great and Mat was as good as you could hope him to be live. My only complaint was that I wish his set was longer.
Loved this concert. Mat played to the crowd. My wife commented after about how much she enjoyed the concert and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as she did. It was truly a magical night, Mat was amazing.
I honestly didn’t know who Matt Kearney was when I bought my tickets. I wasn’t just pleasantly surprised but blown away by the soulful riffs and his voice. I will see him again
Hampton Casino Ballroom is a great, intimate venue to see anyone! Mat was awesome, the band sounded great and the overall vibe was just to have a good time. Price was right with the tickets too. Highly recommended and I will go there again!
My husband and I enjoyed the show at the Orpheum in Madison. It seemed like Mat was enjoying himself and very engaged with the audience. He has a great voice and we really like his music:)
We don't usually go to shows on a Monday night, but we had missed Mat Kearney the last few times he was in Madison. So glad we went. The song selection was excellent. We loved his energy and the audience participation. Band is amazing too!
Mat put on a great show. I had a chance to meet him before the concert and I'm happy to say he's every bit as nice as you would hope he would be. He made a fan for life.
This was truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Matt has such charisma and stage present. Not to mention his voice is incredible. I really enjoyed it and will definitely see him next time he comes around.

Mat Kearney put on an excellent show with plenty of favorites along with his new songs (which are becoming new favorites). Mixed in with the songs was some comedy and borrowed songs. Never a dull moment! Can’t say enough good things about it. I can’t wait til he comes back to town. I will definitely be seeing him again.
Mat's stage presence was top notch. He played some of his oldies, crowd favorites and even a few new ones. The whole vibe was just perfection. We even got a little crowd walk through which was unexpected but so fun. Augustana was a perfect mix of nostalgia and entertainment. Brought my mom to her first concert in MANY years and she loved every second of it.

Loved this show from start to finish. Mat came on promptly at 9pm and played for about 90 minutes. He played just about every favorite of mine, and I knew every song on the set list. The energy of the band was good and they clearly all get along and have fun on stage. Mat even came out into the crowd at one point, but I wasn't close enough to capture that. I will definitely see him any time he comes back to AZ.
Mat Kearney is an incredible breath of fresh air in this day-&-age… no anger or hostility … just love of music and people. Seeing him and his band perform can’t help but add some joy to your day!

Mat and the band seemed to be having a great time and it showed. The set list was awesome—a mix of new and old, engagement with the audience was there the whole time. It was amazing how fast the time went. Looking forward to his next trip back to AZ!
I see Mat whenever he’s in town, one of my favorite artists. He’s engaging with the audience and I appreciate his intimate setting and venue choice. Of course his music is great, too.
Mat Kearney never fails to impress his music is always great to listen to live. Matt and his band were incredibly tight and the sound in the venue with some of the best I’ve ever heard. Great show great fun and I would continue to travel to see Mat.
