    Masters of illusion

by Red on 11/13/23NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

This is my third time watching this amazing and mesmerizing show of talent. We have always been in awe of the magicians each and every time, but the performer who did the “toilet paper” trick just was not in the same class as the other three. It appeared that you needed a fourth person, and there he was! He mentioned he does acts with knives or swords, so I believe that’s his expertise. And it’s not only me, people around where I was sitting were all saying the same thing. I really wasn’t able to leave there, saying how great everything was, and I paid for excellent seats.

    Disappointing

by Catlover06 on 11/13/23NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

The picture of the woman levitating is very deceiving. There was nothing as magical as that and no lighting as depicted. We were expecting more of a flashy show with lights and lasers; this was plainly done. There were some amazing acts such as the woman who contorted herself into small boxes (where did she go?) and a female contortionist who was incredible. The short Asian man did some remarkable things also. There was a man with long dark hair who did absolutely nothing for a very long time and we wondered why he was even in the show. Other acts were just eh and attempts at being funny fell flat. Additionally, the stage did not rotate and we missed seeing a few acts due to being behind them.

Tricks you buy at a magic shop

by Pd on 11/13/23NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Not great…. The tricks were dragged out and were tricks you could find at any magic shop. We left early — waste of money

Excellent show! Venue on Long Island was small enough to get good view from all sections!

This event was very chincy. There was nothing that was amazing. It was more rated for a childldren ages 10 thru 12. The cover photo of the woman levitating over the stage never happened . Disappointing show.

    ENTERTAINING FOR THE MOST PART

by Intrigued on 9/27/23Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

There were actually three magicians/entertainers performing on a rotating basis throughout the show. The first magician was a Vietnamese man who spoke very fast during his performances and was funny and entertaining. The second magician was a rough-looking dude with spiked hair who didn't initially speak but spoke later on; he was interesting also. The last magician was a young man who had won some kind of big-deal award. I thought he was just okay with the illusions he performed.

    pedestrian

by Rick on 9/25/23Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

If you look at the picture that promoted the event and then went to the show they didn't add up. Tickets at 125.00 plus expences wasn't worth it sorry to say. If the tickets were at 40.00 maybe.

Venue not appropriate for slight of hand magic

by GrammyB on 3/27/23Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

We thought the three magicians were fabulous! Their tricks and comedy lines were very entertaining and appropriate for family, which we really appreciated. However… this venue is too large for people in the back path to appreciate the sleight of hand tricks that were taking place. I feel a large screen would’ve .this venue is too large for people in the back path to appreciate the sleight of hand tricks that were taking place I feel a large screen would have been appropriate.

    Same old Illusions

by Cheese on 3/27/23Chandler Center for the Arts - Chandler

We just recently saw magic / illusion show in Mesa. A world of difference. This show used tired out illusions that were seen decades ago. Even a 12 year old could figure out how it’s done. Tired tired Show.
