Everything about this play was excellent. The scenery and set design were second to none. The acting of all the characters should receive more stars than allowed. Although it is an old story, it was extremely fresh and entertaining. I will definitely see it again.
Can't imagine why it's closing. Over the years I've seen it three different times (many grandchildren) and it's as fresh and vibrant today as it was years ago.
Entertaining and fun, my 7 year old had a good time, my 11 a bit less but overall entertaining. The umbrella scenes were great, but the kids figured out how they did it . Actor where good, sometimes a bit over the top. Dancing ensemble was good. Singing was a bit better. Theater staff is a very loose on seating organization and cut off seating time once the performance starts. I was a upset that patrons were allowed into the theater and were being seated while the performance was going on, this should not be, specially if paying a price of no less than $100.00 per ticket n the orchestra section for a reason. I sat in from of a very tall man (huge head) who helped himself to a booster seat! needless to say I missed the entire stage middle section of the performance and spent the entire show trying to catch pieces around his big head, my two children were thankfully seated in front of much shorter people and they had no booster seats because they ran out!!.
Mary Poppins was amazing! I can't believe it is ending its run!
I took my mom, daughter (8), and two nieces (9,10) to see this show and we all loved it. This was the first Broadway show for my nieces and they couldnt wait to talk about it in school on Monday. Everyone in our group was raving about the wonderful sets and props. Afterwards we were still trying to figure out the "magic" of Mary Poppins (i.e. how did she pull a large plant out of her bag?). The actors/actresses captivated the audience with their singing and dancing. Truly an excellent performance.
The kids (7 & 4) loved it. Glad we caught it before it ends.

The show was boring, too long and sad. It was nothing like the movie. I understand that there were 5 Mary Poppins books and that maybe some of the show was taken from the books and not the movie, but I can definitely see why it is leaving Broadway. the best part of the show was intermission and the "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" part.
Movies don't always translate well to on-stage performances but this one was SPECTACULAR!
A fantastic show, great music, wonderful actors. Sitting in Box 12 was a treat. -- No spoilers here-- but at the end of the show, it was as though Mary Poppins was "flying" right to us! So glad I got to take my mom before the show ends in March.
Each song was astonishing, the sets were incredible! Overall a wonderful experience!
For a first broadway show as a family we had a great time , ready for our next show
Great cast! Great theater! We had ages 80 to 7 and we all loved it!
The show was great. Having never been to a Broadway show. I learned a few things. Balconly seats in this theater are really tight. The visual was good BUT the sound was in front of us which made it at time difficult to hear.
I took my four and a half year old granddaughter to this, her very first Broadway show, and she was enthralled! The music and dancing were exciting, touching and colorful and the story kept her interest the entire time. Her biggest concern was, "Where did the bird go after being let out of the cage?", and she kept wondering when it would return. She also thought it should have been part of the curtain call! Practically perfect in every way. Our seats were excellent as we could see everything from the front row center mezzanine.
i was a little afraid going into the show. i didn't think i was gonna like it. I loved loved loved loved this musical. its a shame its going off broadway. it would so go see it again if i had the opportunity.
