This truly is an amazing show! The dancing was spectacular, with tap and ballet being especially good. The two child actors were energetic and easy to understand, not to mention adorable! The familiar songs in a new setting really bring a new life to this show! I would recommend this to people with kids, all the way up to senior citizens. All will love it just the same!
The show was fabulous. The energy and music was so professional! Loved the setting and how they all flowed. The special effects with Mary flying and the chimney sweep walking around the stage frame was awesome!
The show was awesome! Definitely made the old movie I grew up with come to life. Many changes from the actual Disney adaptation though. Some things added, some omitted (especially songs). Awesome singing and choreography (most notable for Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious).One added scene was when they jumped into the chalk drawing. Instead of cute penguins, there were dancing statues. Excellent ballet, but the costumes were inappropriate (nude)... not in line with the Disney rendition. On another note, they did a GREAT job of making Mary Poppins fly through the sky! The actors who played Mary & Bert did a fantastic job... speaking, singing, and dancing just as expected! Everyone spoke so quickly in that well-loved British accent, and the scenes changed rapidly from one to the next. So fun to watch!
This is a show you will never forget...and will be telling your experience over, over, and over... My favorite Broadway show is lion king ...but, this is the closest thing to that..
It was a great family show and an excellent adaptation of the original movie. The Mary Poppins actress was excellent.
I had this huge grin on my face the entire performance. Even if you're not a kid, you'll be smiling like one. The set is amazing (Mary Poppins actually FLIES!), acting was superb and the music is so catchy! The funny moments are balanced by excellent character development and serious themes. There's not enough good to say about it. It is a must-see!!
Mary Poppins exceeded expectations. No matter if one is an adult or child who has seen the movie many times or never, this was truly remarkable. Please bring it back to Chicago again.
The directing, choreography and special effects were once again superb. I saw the play last year and was amazed. This time I brought my kids and amazed them. I noticed, however, that they used a number of understudies. In particular, the lead male was very personable and fine for the children, but was less physically talented than the actor I saw last time. For example, the first time I saw the play the actor's dancing was splendid--he danced in full throttle up and down the walls (not to mention the ceiling). This fellow was more tentative, less Dick Van Dyke and more run of the mill. That said, the kids were still amazed overall, liked the actor(s), and really enjoyed the show.
Great entertainment, brought back pleasnat childhood memories.

Awesome show!!! I've not been to many Broadway shows, but am a huge Mary Poppins fan and this show did not disappoint.

I am not a huge Mary Poppins fan, but I took someone who is. This show was surprisingly good. Not completely true to the movie, but a nice reincarnation. I was very pleased with the sets and the acrobatics. Good show and a great time.
Special effects were awesome! Sound was just ok. Performers were very good.

Heard a lot about the show and they were all true. If you like the movie you will like this show. The premise is the same asthe movie but the storyline is a bit different. Don't expect that the Show is just a live version of the movie.
Mary Poppins was really well put to together, very professional, very easy to watch and being english I knew all the words to the songs too. Even my 13 year old enjoyed it although he would not admit it his foot was tapping and he was clapping with the rest of them at the end.
Amazing show! We enjoyed all the music and it took me back to my childhood!
What a great, magical show! Made me feel like a kid. So much fun. So much talent.
