Martin Short is a well rounded, very entertaining performer who give his audience a wonderful night of entertainment. My wife and I loved his singing, comedy, and all around entertaining performance. Don't miss him...we certainly would go see him again.

    Talented guy

by Shell29 on 5/19/14Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Martin Short is very talented but the sound was not good so I missed some of his funny lines. We were sitting up on the mezzanine level. Also the seats were very uncomfortable. Overall his act was very funny and the price of the tickets were very reasonable.

    EXCEPTIONAL ENTERTAINER… VERY, VERY FUNNY

by JerseyComedyFan on 5/17/14Bergen PAC - Englewood

Martin Short has an illustrious comedy repertoire and though I was unfamiliar with some of it, he had me smiling and laughing all night long. He's a terrific character actor, song-and-dance man, impressionist and story-teller. The show is quite varied and extremely well-paced. He reprises all of the famous characters he created for stage, screen and TV. In between, he shares funny behind-the-scenes stories, timely jokes about current events and his quick one-liner asides are drop-dead hysterical. During a few brief costume changes, entertaining highlights of his best performances played on a large screen. I arrived having no idea what to expect and exited a huge fan. I would gladly see Martin Short again and again. He's up there with all the greats!

    Fun event..Terrible seats

by thoerner on 9/25/13Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - Warren

The show was good; although it started 20 minutes late and probably 20% was from videos of old footage. The footage was hysterical, and added to the show, but was a little unusual as you pay to see someone live. He performed a lot of the characters you know and love. My big issue was the seats at Andiamos. We bought the most expensive seats and at table 35 we were under the video screen so couldn't see it at all without getting out of our seats. As this was a lot of the show it was too bad, especially for the money we paid.

    Mad Man

by Nickerama on 9/24/13Andiamo Celebrity Showroom - Warren

Martin Short is the funniest man since Jonathan Winters. At 63 he has the stamina of a 36 year old. We loved the show.

The good thing was there was a huge crowd for this charity event. The sad thing is that Martin Short had absolutely no new material. He was living and laughing from old accomplishments. Was is emtertaining? At times, but disappointing that he was using material from SNL from so long ago. Glad I went to support Forgotten Harvest, but would not see him again. Send a check and stay home

    Very disappointed

by Jeanbl on 4/29/13Detroit Opera House - Detroit

We were very disappointed. We had read Martin Shorts reviews. Said he was great, very clean. The event was labeled as family friendly. He was not clean or family friendly. Plus could not understand half the things he was saying (talking funny). We will not waste our time or money on him again.

Martin Short at Detroit Opera House

by Greylover on 4/29/13Detroit Opera House - Detroit

I was kind of disappointed. Martin did not do one of my favorite characters - Ed Grimley! And he seemed like he was trying too hard to throw in some adult style humor which I was not expecting from him at all either. His act just didn't seem to flow - it was kind of all over the place. I probably would not go to see him again if I had the chance. The venue is awesome though and the reason behind being there made it worthwhile - fundraising for Forgotten Harvest...and a night out with Hubby sans kids :o)

It appears that he has been doing this comedy routine since the 1980's. All his material was really old. He included a lot of video clips from his movies and Saturday Night Live days which were all a long time ago. He needs some new material. He was the worst ever. I will never pay to see Martin Short again!

I love Martin Short. He's been great in dramatic movies/shows as well as his comedic endeavors of pushing the envelope of fun! However, the sound was so off at this event that not only was this a distraction, but at times, I couldn't understand things clearly. I just had a sense that Short didn't really want to be with us in Detroit. He seemed off, just going through his show without much zest. Maybe ill??? Utilizing old clips was a nice trip through memory lane, yet seemed more like filler --- not to mention their poor quality. Too, I hadn't realized that so much time would be spent on Forgotten Harvest needs prior to his act. I also love Forgotten Harvest, but what a boring waste of time to have to sit through so much (more than other charitable events I've attended). The live auction was a drag. People kept getting up during it as well as during the headliner in numbers unusual. Maybe too much booze??? Sorry this is such a negative review --- even I don't like to re-read it :(

Martin Short was great. Loved the one-man show concept over a stand-up routine. The charity was awesome. Forgotten Harvest is the best charity I have ever seen.

Martin Short was wonderful, but we were in the upper balcony and missed some of his lines because of the sound system. The live auction was much too long.

    Martin Short is hilarious!

by Squimfer on 3/15/13NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

We are big fans of Martin Short. We expected the show to be a stand up act. We were pleasantly surprised when Martin Short played his famous characters...Ed Grimly, Jiminy Glick, the wedding planner character he played in "Father of theBride"....plus other great impersonations. He was very spontaneous and very funny. We had a constant smile during the entire show or we were laughing out loud! Fun show! Smart humor! Loved every minute of it!
