Martin Lawrence on Tour
Martin Lawrence may always have a place in Hollywood movies and on TV screens, but it's clear where he feels most at home: on stage. That's where he truly gets to showcase a comedic sensibility that's raw, unpredictable, and totally unbridled. One of 2018's most hilarious comedy events, the LIT AF Tour is a testament to the prowess and energy that Lawrence has demonstrated as a stand-up ever since he first showed what he could do at The Improv, the legendary New York comedy club that launched Richard Pryor, Jerry Seinfeld, and countless other greats.
Pryor was a big hero for Lawrence as a young performer, who came to comedy and acting after displaying great promise as a boxer. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, on a U.S. army base, he grew up in several cities in the U.S. before moving to New York in the mid-1980s to break into comedy. His raucous sets soon led to a spot on ‘Star Search' and movies including ‘House Party' and ‘Do the Right Thing.' In 1992, Russell Simmons chose him to host ‘Def Comedy Jam,' the groundbreaking HBO series that fostered a new wave of black comedians. That same year, his sitcom ‘Martin' began its five-year run on Fox, becoming one of the network's highest rated shows.
He found just as much success on the big screen with hit comedies like ‘Nothing to Lose,' ‘Blue Streak,' and the ‘Big Momma's House' franchise. He'd also set new standards for mayhem in ‘Bad Boys' and ‘Bad Boys II,' his action-comedy blockbusters with Will Smith and director Michael Bay. Yet even during his rise to full-fledged movie stardom, he never left the stage for long. The concert films ‘You So Crazy' and ‘Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat' proved he'd lost none of his edge as a stand-up act.
Two years after his successful headlining tour Doin' Time: Uncut Live, he returns to slay audiences all over again with the LIT AF Tour. This time, however, he's brought some friends. With Lawrence serving as host much like he did way back in the day on ‘Def Comedy Jam,' the LIT AF Tour presents an array of veteran and emerging talents. Changing from city to city, the lineup of acts includes Jay Pharaoh, J.B. Smoove, Adele Givens, Rickey Smiley, and Clayton Thomas. Of course, with Martin Lawrence around, you know who'll run the show no matter who's there.

The comedy show was funny! The sitting/chairs however are too too too damn tight. I CANT BELIEVE how close we were. It’s funny how you notice things after the COVID.
The seats in the balcony are too small. Its not enough room
The comedians was soooo funny, the area was clean. Only thing is if it was sold out it would’ve been uncomfortable because how the seating is but thankfully it was spaced out.
It was great show. I only wish Martin would have talked a little more.
I paid for parking ticket and could not pull it up at the event and ended up paying for parking all over again I would like my money back from Ticketmaster for my parking ticket that I did not use!!
This show was EVERYTHING!! B Simone had me in tears, Martin Lawrence still got it and Tommy Davidson, Michael Blackston and Deray all were amazing!! I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants to slap their knee and hold their stomach from laughing so hard all night!! 5 stars!!
The show was awesome. Each comedian did a great job! I am partial to Michael Blackson. In my opinion, he was the best.
I really enjoyed myself. Everyone on the lineup was hilarious!
Thought would of seen more of Martin Lawrence not just in between others
The event was all I expected it to be. Laughing from beginning to the end.
Great updates and it was easy to purchase and get through the gates.
When are they coming back to Pittsburgh?? It would also be nice to see a show of just... Martin Lawrence (:
Learn the rules of the event center to give to the attendees . Couldn't start on time because of the no purse policy. People came dressed up for the event to be turn around because there purses was to big
It was a disappointing experience. With it being headline is Martin Lawrence I expected him to be the comedian not the MC of the show and barely be on the stage. Also they use the N-word every other word most of them and there was one guy that you could barely understand.. definitely was not what I expected and would’ve never paid that much for seats if I had known that Martin Lawrence wasn’t the show.
Very funny!! All the comedians were hilarious!! Well put together show very much worth the money!
This was called the “Martin Lawrence” show but Martin didn’t perform. Instead he “hosted” ie introduced 5 D-list comedians. Disappointing.
I am a big Martin Lawrence fan, i was a VIP attendee and my seats were great! I had a headache from laughing so hard when I left.I also appreciated security responding quickly to the idiots that were fighting in the stands! I felt very safe! I was dissapointed because I wanted a picture with Tommy but i felt he totally ignored me when i was asking for a picture, while he was taking them with other fans right next to me! I also was dissapointed that i didnt get to meet and greet with Martin because of the COVID! Over all, it was beautiful seeing him in person, and ill never forget this experience!
The seats were way too close and the drinks could have been made better and had more options and there should have been more food options in the areas.
I cried laughing. All the comedians were hilarious. Seeing Martin up close had me a little star struck...greatness
