Marianas Trench in Concert
Multi-Platinum selling progressive pop band Marianas Trench has been big news in Canada for years, and they caught on with US audiences in a major way following their acclaimed 2015 album Astoria, a slick collection of larger-than-life pop masterpieces that showcased their playful lyrical sensibility and knack for anthemic choruses. In concert, Marianas Trench is a whirlwind of emotion and attitude, rocking the stage with adrenaline-filled performances that put their tight musicianship front and center. Frontman Josh Ramsay is a born performer, and his energy is completely infectious as he sings his heart out on upbeat jams like "This Means War" and "Celebrity Status." The rest of the band keeps pace with lively performances that always leave fans thoroughly rocked and ready for more.
Marianas Trench Background
Marianas Trench was formed in Vancouver in 2001 by Josh Ramsay, a singer-songwriter and guitarist who previously fronted the group Ramsay Fiction. He joined forces with Matt Webb (lead guitar), Mike Ayley (bass), and Ian Casselman (drums), and Marianas Trench made their debut in 2002 with a self-titled EP. In 2006, the band released their full-length debut album Fix Me on 604 Records, which they supported with extensive touring across Canada. The album went gold in Canada, but its success paled in comparison to the band's 2009 sophomore LP Masterpiece Theatre, a Top 5 hit on the Canadian Albums Chart that established them as pop royalty virtually overnight. Their third album Ever After was equally well-received, cracking the Top 10 and earning a prestigious Juno Award nomination for Album of the Year, and earning the band the title of Juno Award winners for Group of the Year in 2013. Their fourth album Astoria earned them a 2016 Juno nomination for Group of the Year and unleashed the power ballad Who Do You Love. It also opened up Marianas Trench to the European market where the band toured twice in support of Astoria. Currently in the studio, Marianas Trench is hard at work putting the finishing touches on their 5th album set for release in early 2019.
I already loved their music, but the show was so amazing. They packed the house and showed the crowd their appreciation by putting on an incredible show. So fun! And Air Dubai opened for them and were great too!
I had one of the greatest nights of my life! There was such an unbelievable energy. I had never heard of any of the openers but I loved them all! I think it all went perfectly. I had so much fun!

I've been a huge fanatic about my Marianas Trench, but nothing could have prepared me for the incredible outcome of this show. All the bands were fantastic and I found a new love for the band Air Dubai. Like always, House of Blues is an unbelievable venue and the show absolutely blew my mind. Fantastic!!
My third time seeing Marianas Trench in the states. They are pure entertainment. The House of Blues was a perfect, intimate setting with the band. Cannot wait for the next tour! So glad they performed Porcelain. And the videos were amazing!
This was my first concert, so I didn't know what to expect, but I did sort of have an idea of how it would go. It blew my mind. Seeing my favorite band, Mariana's Trench, live for my first concert was the best thig that's ever happened to me. The concert was energetic and the bands really interacted well with the crowd. When Josh from Mariana's Trench came into the pit with us, it was incredible. They put on a great show with great attitudes. I loved the humor Josh used and the overall experience with them was so amazing, I can't put it into words. I absolutely loved it, and I could not thank them enough for giving me the time of my life! Afterwards I was sweaty, aching, and couldn't talk i had screamed and sung so much and so loud, but I wouldn't change a thing. I threw all my energy into this concert, and it was more fun than I could have ever imagined. Dancing to my favorite songs while my favorite band sang live right in front of me was the best experience. The show was incredible, and this is an experience I will never, ever forget.
Marianas Trench is easily my favourite band, so I am 100% biased. This tour-closing show was the third of theirs I've attended and each show is somehow better than the last. Great crowd, great crew, great band, and a great time. Prepare to sweat your face off.
The concert was unforgettable! The view was great. Excitement was in the air. After the sjow we got to meet Marianas Trench and the opening acts..besides Protector..were great as well. Overall an amazing experience.

Brought my 14 year old who is a big fan of Marianas Trench. I am not in their demographic based on the crowd. But...they were excellent. Extremely talented, harmonizing and showmanship. Great venue - The Stone Pony...go Jersey!

Honestly this show was the greatest night o my life. The entire band was completely incredible. The lead singer Josh Ramsay's was even more angelic live than I could have ever imagined and it brought me to tears many times throughout the show. The band kept the same amount of energy throughout every song kept the audience fully entertained.
this band from canada was simply amazing. high energy with amazing voices. i have never heard better live harmonies from other bands. simply incredible.
The concert was absolutely outstanding! Mariana's Trench is amazing live and they were very engaged with the audience which was nice. I would go see them again in a heartbeat!!
This was such an awesome show. I bought the VIP option and loved that too. I loved meeting the band, doing the q and a and essentially everything. However, I wished we could have interacted with the band a little more when taking pictures. I thought the show was awesome, even the opening guys were great. It was a really fun time.
I have been to a lot of different concerts, featuring many different types of genres of music and nothing compared to MT. Mariana's trench put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. They have real talent and each and every one of them can sing and play all instruments. They are extremely impressive and really proved themselves. It's only a matter of time before the U.S. makes Mariana's Trench a household name. LOVE THEM!
The concert was WONDERFUL! They played for a full 90 minutes, gave a wonderful performance, and left us thrilled! Awesome group!!!
It was an amazing concert a little crowded but so worth going to see. It is an unforgettable night.
