Marianas Trench in Concert
Multi-Platinum selling progressive pop band Marianas Trench has been big news in Canada for years, and they caught on with US audiences in a major way following their acclaimed 2015 album Astoria, a slick collection of larger-than-life pop masterpieces that showcased their playful lyrical sensibility and knack for anthemic choruses. In concert, Marianas Trench is a whirlwind of emotion and attitude, rocking the stage with adrenaline-filled performances that put their tight musicianship front and center. Frontman Josh Ramsay is a born performer, and his energy is completely infectious as he sings his heart out on upbeat jams like "This Means War" and "Celebrity Status." The rest of the band keeps pace with lively performances that always leave fans thoroughly rocked and ready for more.
Marianas Trench Background
Marianas Trench was formed in Vancouver in 2001 by Josh Ramsay, a singer-songwriter and guitarist who previously fronted the group Ramsay Fiction. He joined forces with Matt Webb (lead guitar), Mike Ayley (bass), and Ian Casselman (drums), and Marianas Trench made their debut in 2002 with a self-titled EP. In 2006, the band released their full-length debut album Fix Me on 604 Records, which they supported with extensive touring across Canada. The album went gold in Canada, but its success paled in comparison to the band's 2009 sophomore LP Masterpiece Theatre, a Top 5 hit on the Canadian Albums Chart that established them as pop royalty virtually overnight. Their third album Ever After was equally well-received, cracking the Top 10 and earning a prestigious Juno Award nomination for Album of the Year, and earning the band the title of Juno Award winners for Group of the Year in 2013. Their fourth album Astoria earned them a 2016 Juno nomination for Group of the Year and unleashed the power ballad Who Do You Love. It also opened up Marianas Trench to the European market where the band toured twice in support of Astoria. Currently in the studio, Marianas Trench is hard at work putting the finishing touches on their 5th album set for release in early 2019.
I have been a marianas fan for a long time and this year i have blessed to have the oppourtunity to see them 3 times and I got the chance to fly to St.Catherines this year and the concert was amazing and the boys were amazing and i couldnt be prouder.

The concert was AMAZING!!!! There my favorite band and i will never forget this night for the rest of my life....... they were fantastic live. The lights and sound were awsome. For the price I paid the seats were great. I will definitely go to many more concerts at Ceasars Windsor.
Repartee and Shawn Hook were great! Marianas trench were awesome! Overall the best concert Ive ever been to! My son and I had so much fun and were blown away by all the talent! Thanks and much love to the artists for bringing their A game and giving us a night to remember!! :)
Marianas trench always puts on an amazing show they know how to interact with their fans and they like to make everyone feel involved! They always have had amazing music and seeing them in concert just shows how truly talented they are! It's just amazing how much they interact with the fans and make everyone feel wanted! It was an unforgettable show even though it was my 4th time but I would 100% go see them again and I would love to! They always know how to put on a show and blow the fans away! I love marianas trench!! And I know they come back to st Catherines
MARIANAS TRENCH has been a favorite band of mine for the past 10 years! This was my 8th show and they have not once disappointed me. I have tracelled by car over 4 hours to see them live and it has always been 7000% worth it! They constantly interact with the audience and make it feel like a small venue even though it is one of the bigger ones!
I have never been around such ethusiatic fans! Their music, their performance, this show...it was all echt perfect!!! Never miss this band if you have a chance. It doesn't matter if you like this particular genre (which I call glam pop rock) These kids are amazing! And, so are their fans!
I have waited forever to see them and they did not disappoint!!! They put on an amazing show and sound awesome live! Can't wait to see them again.
The pageant theater was really nice! And there was no bad places to stand! There were places you could sit if you wanted to. It was amazing just to be so close to my favorite band!
This band never disappoints. They always give the fans 110%. Can't wait until they return because I know it will be another great show.
Amazing show. 5 stars. If they ever come back to St. Louis you must see this band. They sounded great. Fantastic harmonies. Every member of this band sings great. Talented musicians.
There is not a bad seat in the house at The Pageant. This was hands down, the best show I have been to in a very long time.
I've been following Marianas Trench for a couple of years and been waiting for them to come to St. Louis to catch them live. MT did not disappoint in any way. Unapologetic pop / rock at it's finest...loved it from start to finish. I'll go see them every chance I get. It was great to see them in such a small venue.

I decided to purchased the VIP tickets for my daughter because last year she begged me to take her to Chicago and I wasn't able to. I have to say that I have only heard a couple of the bands songs so I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the concert...boy was I wrong! The guys put on an amazing show and I loved it so much I've actually added a couple of their CDs to my collection since the concert. I also enjoyed the meet-n-greet more than I thought...the guys were nice, funny and seemed very down to earth. The only bad thing I can say is that the VIP/merchandise attendant was VERY rude. He felt the need to point out that I was late to the VIP check-in (sorry for working), we asked if the band could hold my daughter like a surfboard for the photo and was told no (granite I purchase 3 VIP tickets and we only used one photo and the VIP boss wouldn't even let us take the photo in a fun way like we were hoping for) and now when I review previous concert photos I see that it HAD been done many times before so I'm not sure why we were told no AND the final straw for me was the VIP attendant being rude to my daughter's friend (I was standing by him) when we wanted to exchange one of the t-shirts we purchased for a size bigger...the attendant ACTUALLY THREW the shirt back at him and said no. I have to say that later on in the event I saw someone with a backpack that I would like to have had to hold all our VIP items however I refuse to go back and interact with the VIP attendant therefore I didn't purchase it. ALL that being said I will see them when they return to the STL!
Marianas trench puts on the best shows you will ever see. No need for gimmicks and flashiness when you actually have talent and entertain as well as they do. Meet and greet was great, photo session was great, and as always they were so personal and involved with the crowd. Will see them again when they come back to the US

Mariana's Trench is always an amazing show and this one was everything I expected. The guys played a good mix of old and new songs and had a ton of energy the whole show. Great band to see live!!
This was the best concert ever! The music the light show the atmosphere everything was perfect! It's really rare to find a band whose music has so much meaning to them as well as the people who listen to it. Josh Ramsey seemed to put his all into everything he sang and really imteracted with the crowed. It was at the stone pony so it was pretty small and there wasn't anywhere that was very far from the stage. All I can say is I can't wait for next years show!
I Love this Band! Their music, the lyrics, their energy, their harmonies, their entertaining shows. They are awesome! It was a live show how I "found" Marianas Trench when they were the first of 3 opening bands at a show I went to years ago. I had never heard of them or their music before and now I can't stop listening to their music or stop going to see them live. They blew me away that first time I saw them perform and they continue to do so with every show since. I flew over 2,100 miles to go to this Atlanta show (and to see and visit a dear ol' friend) and as expected, Marianas Trench blew me away again. Now looking forward to the LA and San Diego shows... xoxoxo
