Mariah went on to appear in Daniels' stellar ensemble piece "The Butler" (2013).

Her performance was average. She did not sing many songs and overall production was disorganized.

The concert was good. I loved the way she came out on the sleigh and the balloons, fireworks, and confetti @ 12. I wish she would have sang some more older songs. I also wish that she would have showed the Time Square ball drop @ midnight since we were in NYC

    A Mimi Mess

by MadgeFan on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

First off she did not come out until 11pm and just stumbled through the whole set. This show was on New Year's Eve so everything stopped in the middle for the countdown. All of Mariah's friends and crew seemed to come on the stage to celebrate including her Hubby. This would have been fine if they ever left but they remained on the stage for the rest of the show. It was even more downhill from there with no encore or proper ending. A waste of time and money.

    A Good Time

by MCpartyFan on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

I don't know if it was because of New Years Eve, but even though there were 3 seperate artists performing there were long gaps in between shows. Trey Songz only performed like 5 songs in 30 minutes ending around 10pm. Then there was a DJ from 105.1 who was great, but only performed for 30 minutes. This is great if Mariah came right after. Instead there was another 30 minute delay with background music which left you wondering when MC would begin. She finally started at 11pm and performed great. I think they were timing the performance to go past New Years. The count down was great - lots of balloons and confetti. Mariah sang for around 2 hours with songs from various albums. She did have 3 wardrobe changes. Overall, a good time. I would go again.

    mimi acted like a diva

by 2cynful on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

trey songz was a amazing!! he will be headling a show pretty soon. He was so proffesional and his siging was on point! Mimi well lets just say she is a diva. she did not hit the stage untill 11pm and trey finished at 10pm. She did no choreography. but on the other hand when she did sing it was perefction. the problem was getting her to put down the glass of champagne and sing. All and all i had a good time cause i love MIMI and i was not shocked by her behaivior on new years eve i just wish she would have sang more than 10 short songs with such an extensive catolog to her credit.

    Unrehearsed Mess!

by 1DisgruntledFan on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

The Mariah Carey New Year's Eve concert was a huge disappointment. She showed up on stage at 11:00pm for an 8pm show singing "All I Want For Christmas" in a sleigh. That was the first sign that things were going to go badly. The sound system at MSG was horrible. You could clearly hear her back up singers and band but could not hear her at all (except for an occasional high note). The back up dancers appeared completely unrehearsed - they were never together and the dancing was pathetic. At one point after midnight, everyone involved in the show came on stage and started doing the Electric Slide!! She changed outfits 4-5 times and only sang 6 songs! During one of those costume changes, Tre Lorenz sang a Michael Jackson song and did not stay on stage to sing with Mariah afterward. Lots of balloons and confetti but that was the highlight - not even an encore! Huge waste of money!

    Mariah Carey New Years Eve

by culocl on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

First off I would like to say Mariah looked beautiful and puts on a good/decent show. I say decent because first off she didnt sing many of her hits and for about 3 songs she totally disappeared just to change dresses while her backup dancers took the stage over. When she arrives back she wore beautiful dress after beautiful dress but I found it rude that she has to disappear for a 3 entire songs out of 10 to change dresses. As for Trey Songz he was great and is the future of R&B.

Santa Mariah Delivers Her Gift Of Song

by Wallnuts on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

Mariah began her New Year's Eve extravaganza at New York City's Madison Square Garden as she flew through the air on her "Santa Mariah" sleigh singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Geez, from my childhood I never remembered Santa looking so enticing! Had I known, I would have never left her milk and cookies that would have jeopardized that simply stunning holiday presentation. From her golden locks of silky curls all the way down to her silvery-sparkling shoes, her angelic vocals from heaven made this the best Holiday package a man could ever ask for.

Mariah was good, but overall show wasn't

by Anonymous on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

Concert supposed to start at 9pm. Too many opening acts that took 2 hours to get over with. MC came on stage finally at 11PM, had 1 hour of good show, then all of a sudden the count down began (with the screen showing the wrong count down numbers, no less). After the count down, there were like 20+ people on stage, no show, no organization, with Mariah singing a few more songs then rushing to the after party I'm sure. Just totally not what I expected 1) from Mariah Carey; 2) from a New Year Eve concert! Total time at MSG: ~4 hours Time with MC on stage: ~1.5 hours

    Mariah Carey was a disappointment!

by Rhomies on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

I went to MC's concert a few years ago in Atlanta and it was the best concert I have ever been to, so, I wanted to see her again. Not to mention, she is my favorite artist of all time. The concert started at 9:00pm but she did not appear until 11:00pm. Let me paint you a picture of the 2 hours before Mariah... 3 amateur rappers come out and perform for about 20 minutes and then there is a 20 min break. Trey Songz comes out and sings for about 30 min and there is another break. Then a DJ spins about for about 30 min which is followed by another 30 min break and then... MC finally comes out to a very disappointed (and angry) crowd. She "sings" for about 90min with a lot of talking in between songs and not to mention the technical difficulties. For an entire song, she did not even sing because her microphone was broken. The song just played while she stood there. The songs she did play were not the most popular songs and I actually did not even recognize one. After paying almost $300 for my tickets, I am VERY disappointed in MC. I still love her as an artist but she needs to start being good to her audience and fans.

    Preshow was too long

by astor on 1/1/10Madison Square Garden - New York

The preshow was way too long. I also didn't like the use of a DJ. as one of the preshow acts. I mean I am paying to go to a live concert so I would like to see live performances. The whole show was 3.5 hours long and Mariah performed about 1.5 hours. It was a long wait before she came on stage. I would have liked longer performances from her. I like her, her singing and her banter. However, I wouldn't recommend this unless you are a huge fan.
