A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads.
And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget!
Set on a Greek island paradise where the sun always shines, a tale of love, friendship, and identity is beautifully told through the timeless hits of ABBA. For nearly 25 years, people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good show.
Fantastic show! The cast was outstanding! Enjoyed every minute of it!
This was one of the BEST Broadway Plays I have seen! I would go back and watch it multiple time! I would recommend to any age. I wished we had taken my friends little 2 year old son. He loves the movie but we were afraid he wouldn't sit though the play but I think he would have loved it!
Fantastic describes it simply enough, but it was so much more than that. I'd only seen the movie before, so I knew basic plot line, but the show was so much better than the movie. The cast was energetic, enthusiastic and just amazing. I loved the songs, the lines, the witty banter- plus the cast, you could just tell the chemistry they had with each other. Thalia Mara Hall is a wonderful place- and they manage to get some great shows- but the only thing that was a bit of a bummer is that my row (front row orchestra, section 1- to the left when facing the stage) the row was a little loose- the row of seats have started coming loose from the floor, I suppose, so when people shifted in seats it would bobble the entire row- which was a problem b/c it distracted you from the wonderful show going on in front of you. That needs to be addressed. Other than that- everything was wonderful.
The show cast was enthusiastic, the show had energy, the audience was connected to the spirit of the musical.
Bought these for my folks. They Love Musicals. They Loved Mamma Mia! The house was packed and they were happy with their seating ORCHL row F. They said the show was packed with songs. Were a little surprised at the amount of younger kids there as they thought a lot of the content wasn't appropriate for younger ones. Still, they enjoyed very much and went home to re-watch the movie!
The show was fantastic. Cast was great. It was easy to see and hear.
Excellent! The cast did an excellent job in portraying the movie characters and their voices were phenomenal. I had a balcony seat and could hear and see wonderfully. Will go again if the opportunity presents itself.
Considering this was my first off broadway production to see in person, it was great! I got these tickets for my mom's birthday because she loves Mamma Mia, and she thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. She sang along with them for all the songs.
We went to the Saturday matinee with our 11-year old daughter. The show was great-- the acting and singing were very good. What a delight when all the women in the audience joined in singing the title song! Fun costuming for Donna and the Dynamos - we had a good time.
It was really good. The actress playing Donna was outstanding.
Overall it was good because the cast was excellent and they sang well for the most part. The young lady that played the daughter had a poor upper range that just faded out of hearing. Ironically, the sound system had the opposite problem. I know that Momma Mia is boisterous and a feel-good musical but the volume reached well into the range of hearing damage. And just after the intermission, Act 3 opened with a blast of music with no warning that had half the audience so startled they reflexively jumped en masse. Not a good way to re-start the show. Lastly, the final bows from the cast weren't their final. They leaped into a long string of the most popular songs that had the audience standing through them all. About half were clapping along and the other half wanting to sit down again. Awkward.
Mamma Mia was absolutely amazing. I had watched the movie 5-6 times but this show was fantastic. So glad I got to go see it! The scenes and everything was wonderful and the music was absolutely to die for.
this was a great musical, story and play. The story line was hard to follow at first, but then fell in line. The actors were wonderful. The dancing and music was great.
I took my two girls to see the show in Jackson, MS and we were all mesmerized. This was an AMAZING show. We sang all the way home and into the next morning. I went to work the next morning and told everyone how wonderful it was... it was truly my favorite show EVER. Thank you for such a wonderful memory.
Thoroughly enjoyed Mamma Mia! The music was great. Brought back lots of memories. Especially enjoyed the encore songs performed at the end of the show.
If you have the chance to see this production I highly recommend you grab tickets now!
