A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads.
And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget!
Set on a Greek island paradise where the sun always shines, a tale of love, friendship, and identity is beautifully told through the timeless hits of ABBA. For nearly 25 years, people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good show.
Not a huge ABBA fan but it was a great show! My wife absolutely loved it and I won't soon get the timeless melodies out of my head.
Totally enjoyed the Mama Mia (Touring) production. The leads singing, acting and dancing were broadway quality. Such an enoyable evening!
Actors were excellent with great voices. Alison Ewing was amazing as well as Kaye Tuckerman.
Outstanding! Excellent performance and great audience energy!
Outstanding show. Well worth the money. The music of Abba was wonderful, and cast did a masterful job of performing it.
The Mama Mia performance was absolutely wonderful--great singing, dancing, costumes, and scenery!
We felt young again. Laughed, clapped, danced a bit. Wonderful. Beautifully acted. Applause!!
Of the show in general: To be fair, I hated the movie when I saw it. Luckily, I'd rented it, and turned it off before it was over. I was not looking forward to this show, but it is a friend's favorite, so I went along. It was better than the movie, to be sure, but still very lacking. The entire "plot" is one of the dumbest ever conceived. It amazes me that this plot was sold to someone who fronted the cash for the original production. The music is mediocre, except for the couple of more popular Abba songs. I only knew 2 or 3. The middle is definitely slow and painful. The set is definitely lacking, though I'm not sure what else could be done. Of this production: The lead actress is only mediocre. She is cute, but her voice is often off key, and definitely not strong enough for the role. Several times I thought she forgot a lyric, when in actuality, she just couldn't get the notes out loudly enough to be heard. The men are excellent, except when the 2 fathers (not including the world traveler one with a beard) sang there solos. Abysmal. The chorus men are all fabulous dancers and very entertaining. In all, once is too many times to see this, whether on the big screen, Broadway, or regionally. PS...I love musical theater! jersey Boys is an all-time fave and not even in the same zip code as this one. West Side Story, Billy Elliot, you name it, I probably love it; but this show in an y form is a disgrace to the art.
Mamma Mia was fantastic! The performance was lively, funny, and poignant in all the right places. My daughter and I loved every minute of it!
Better than the movie! The actors were simply incredible!
2 thumbs up Don't want to miss it. Music and costumes wonderful!
After seeing movie three times we weren"t sure what to expect with the live stage production. But after seeing it we believe the live show to be better than movie!
Lighting could have been a little brighter on some scenes and Donna's Character Voice range needs to be stronger, didn't feel her energy. But was good and tickets were reasonable. Half the price of what you pay in NY. Love Abba's Music Also would have gotten other tickets if they had advertise earlier they were doing it 3 nights in Pensacola, FL.
The music and staging were excellent!! Casting was excellent. The audience got involved in the show singing and clapping to the music. The show was uplifting and high energy.
I have seen close to 150 shows in NYC & the voices in this show were just as good as Broadway. I've seen Mamma Mia 4 times in NYC & the only difference I could really see is how the 'sets' were smaller but that's to be expected. Very enjoyable
Mama Mia was one of the best shows I have seen in Pensacola. The music was great. The energy, fantastic. Acting superb.
I had bought tickets to see Mamma Mia! for my daughter and I to see because she was a huge fan of the Mamma Mia movie. I enjoy watching musicalls myself but wasn't sure how they would pull this off because I had seen the movie first. I admit, I was very surprised how well they did and kept it exactly as the movie was. The lead actor as the mom and Sophie the daughter did an absolute excellent job in their roles. I give the musical a 5 star rating. Excellent work everyone involved!
The music is wonderful. I thought the broadway team did an outstanding job! I enjoyed the movie, however, the actors they chose in the movie version couldn't sing. (terrible) You must see the musical live!!!! worth every penny!!! Well done Bravo!!
I went in thinking i wouldn't like this show but i must say i was very impressed and i wil go back to more shows like this in the future
I've never been to a show that was as captivating and entertaining as Mamma Mia! The singing, acting, staging, etc. was amazing! I would love to see it again!
