Maks & Val on Tour
Sometimes there's a special communication between siblings that can almost seem like a form of telepathy, and that's the kind of connection brothers Maks & Val have when they take the stage together to display their dance expertise. In their live performances, the pair — whom the public came to adore through their long tenure on TV's Dancing with the Stars — combine their fleet-footed moves with eye-catching visuals that dovetail perfectly with the brothers' sense of style. And when Maks & Val bring their respective spouses, Peta Murgatroyd and Jenna Johnson, on stage as their dance partners, it takes the brilliant, storytelling choreography to a whole other level. Viewers can expect an entertaining program filled with sizzling dance moves, playful antics and high-energy fun.
Who are Maks & Val?
Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy — better known as Maks & Val — are celebrities of the popular dance world. The brothers were born in Ukraine, where ballroom dance was part of their school curriculum, and they relocated to Brooklyn, New York, as children. After competitive ballroom careers, the duo rose to mainstream fame through Dancing with the Stars. Over the years they've been seen everywhere from Broadway to the Netflix series Fuller House, performing styles from Latin to swing, all with contemporary flair. But starting with the second season of DWTS, Maks & Val danced their way into the hearts of millions with their deft and dynamic style. They were on the show for an incredible 14 seasons. Since then, the suave siblings have been taking their terpsichorean skills straight to the public in a live setting, on tours that allow them to show off their passion and precision on stage, as the palpable energy in the room bounces back and forth between Maks & Val and their delighted audiences.
Seriously. Several dances were really raunchy. Nothing you would want to take the family too even though they billed it as being about family. Making family maybe. The dancers had real talent and we wanted to see ballroom done with style. Instead we got 95% nude crotch grabbing bum grinding low brow nastiness. Thanks for that.
I've been to many, many shows over the years but this is hands down one of the best I have ever attended! While the three of them are obviously wonderful dancers, the intimacy of the show and the "peek" into their private lives made us feel like we were part of their family. Would go again in a heartbeat! Only suggestion would be to have better publicity about the show so more people would be aware that they were going to be in town.
The chemistry between them ALL was refreshing!! Hope their tour is a BIG success.
My mom and I attended the show in Boise. The actual show was good, however the VIP meet and greet experience left MUCH to be desired. My mom, who is on a very fixed income, and spent quite a lot of money on the evening, didn’t even get the promised photo with Maks, Val and Peta. The man who was taking the photos must not have properly turned on the camera, as the only photo he got of her is as she was walking away from the photo booth. She now has absolutely no photo of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. (We were reminded multiple times that selfies on our own phones were not allowed.) The same man taking the photos was who explained to us how the meet and greet would go. He seemed rather annoyed with all of us, and was quite unfriendly. Not to mention the fact that he did not make sure one of the guests (who paid a lot of money) got her actual photo with the cast. The designated spot for the meet and greet was also rather disappointing. An ugly back room, which looked like a holding spot for extra show supplies, with a cracked cement floor, and no air conditioning. Not exactly a VIP experience in my eyes. We were a very small group, and the man in charge commented on it several times. However, the entire “experience” still only lasted roughly 15 minutes. Could they really not have taken an extra 5 to 10 minutes with us, considering we were such a small group? The general feeling of the experience was definitely that we were a little bit of an inconvenience, and something they HAD to do as part of a contractual agreement. I will say this…Mak was just as charming in person as I thought he would be. He was the highlight of the experience. I just wish my mom had her photo with him, as a memento of the occasion.
This show is the standard by which all dance productions should be measured. Classy, exciting, mesmerizing, and emotional. We enjoyed every minute of it!
Fantastic dance show!! Extremely energetic, emotional, engaging and imaginative!! In this show, Max, Val and Peta have given us a peek into their private lives. From their dance beginnings to how they got to where they are now. Their choreography of the entire show is outstanding!! Their troupe dancers are all fantastic too! Max & Peta shared their son, Shai, with us -- who is absolutely cute and adorable!! I was seated in the front row and wanted to stand up, cheer and applaud these performers through the entire show!! Don't pass these performers up. If you can't see this tour, then go to their next tour!!! It is well worth the price!!
I went knowing I would see ballroom dancing. What I had not realized was there was also ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and Ladies ... Magik Maks was amazing! We all thought he was kidding when he made a reference to Magic Mike saying he would be Magik Maks. Oh boy -- was it Magik!! We all loved it. Thank you!!!!
If you do not have an emotional connection to Val, Maks and/or Peta, you will probably not enjoy this show. If you do have an emotional connection to them, you will probably love it. I like Maks and Peta and I love Val. I loved this show. In addition to the beautiful dancing that you would expect, the show is very intimate in that they let the audience into their lives. They have video of them talking about their lives and Peta and Maks talking about their relationship. There's video of Val walking through his beautiful condo. Best of all, Maks & Peta brought their adorable 1-year-old boy out on stage for a minute. He is so cute. I am so glad I saw this show. My hope is that Val marries Jenna Johnson and they do another tour with the 4 of them. I love Jenna too.
I thought the show was going to be more like Dancing with the Stars, but it turned out to be so much more! I loved that there was an actual story and it was a beautiful one. I was completely in "Aw" of the performances, such talented Principals and Casts, they make you want to get up and move, as well as sign up for some dancing classes. I would definitely recommend this show to my friends and I would go again!
Amazing show! I enjoyed the whole show, it’s touching and full of emotions. Love, fear, acceptance and life’s journey. Highly recommended, it’s worth every penny.!
I went to see Maks and Val on their last tour and was entertained and loved every minute of the storyline and dancing. This was forced, not very interesting and often boring. The venue didn't allow for great seating as well.
Loved it! Very entertaining. I got to learn more about Maks, Val and Peta thru their stories and dance.

This dance concert was outstanding! For any fans of DWTS you know who these people are and they not only danced, they shared intimate details of their life with you. From childhood through marriage and parenthood all was shared. The dancing was excellent, the costumes amazing, the lighting superb. My only complaint was the sound was at times distorting making words unintelligible and the bass rattling the rafters.
Sound was poor. Voices garbled. No legroom in seats. Dancing was super.
I thought the show was fantastic. Great entertainment and excellent dancing. It was great hearing about their confidential information.

Fantastic show with amazing choreography and dynamic dancing and storytelling. Also, incredibly nice people and took their time at the Meet and Greet. Thank you so much for a great memory!
Both hubby & I loved the performances! Very generous to audience...... lots of visiting the front rows, 2 audience participations. Encouraged selfies with audience. Got to see the new baby, Shai. Length was 2 hours plus intermission. Only complaint: seating was very uncomfortable. We had 1st row in balcony - no knee room. Don't get that row!
Maks and Val as usual delivered incredible performance but add in Peta it is a smash - exact in every dance detail but personal in its emotionally charged script
