Had a great time at the Mariners game (always helps when they win lol). Not a bad seat in the house. Attending during the Teddy Bear Toss added a lot of excitement to the game
We went to see the Mariners play the Newfoundland Growlers. The hockey was good but the rest of the event was lack luster. Most importantly, the sound system sucked. We could not understand any of the announcements. It was like listening to Charlie Brown's teacher. People seated around us felt the same way. There was not much team info. No program, introduction, and when one scored a goal there was no name or number on the center screen. The tee shirt toss was weak, a couple in just one section. We brought friends with younger kids and were excited for the Star Wars theme, which was a non-event. There is so much potential-but more of an effort needs to be made.
The game was great! The home team won and I was impressed by the puck handling skills of many of the players, especially since the ECHL is a couple of levels below the NHL. The added drama of the smashed glass, and how well they quickly repaired it was interesting to watch. HOWEVER, I found the high heeled green jacketed lady announcer to be obnoxious. Her voice is so shrill it’s unintelligible. I can do without her on camera “interviews” between periods and during the game. It was an unnecessary distraction! I came to watch the game, not her!!
My family had to move seats twice. The first time the people behind us were being immensely loud and vulgar. We moved to an empty area and a group of children (boys, maybe 9-10 years of age) got behind us and literally harassed everybody on the ice with every movement. The food was ridiculously expensive, and cold. A hot dog, cold, and fries (again, cold) which were tiny. We ended up leaving very early in the 3rd, no reason to stay.
Went for some hockey being a fan of the visiting Reading Royals and had a great time.
So exciting to go to a playoff game and they won so that helped.
First of all, we were so happy to be able to get seats. It was our grandson's first hockey game and our seats in section W were perfect. For a person like me who is "vertically challenged" being above the glass is the best place to be. We were in row 10 and very happy. Everyone was very helpful and my husband said the concessions were well staffed and running smoothly. I already can't wait until next year. We didn't get to many games this year, but plan on changing that now that things are somewhat more "normal".
So much fun on Friday night, ended up going again Saturday! No voice frim yelling and i love it!!!
Great venue, good food, good people. Wish my team had won, though
The Mariners do not disappoint! So much fun! Something for everyone at all ages! Highly recommend for a date night, family night, girls/guys nights…. Any night!

The hockey game itself was good, but the food was not that good even for arena or stadium food which is always very overpriced hot dog was very pale and small and did not appear to be cooked.
Great game, love watching these guys play. The environment is great and the facilities had whatever you needed.

For the money this game was a better value than Bruins. My son loved the high scoring and it was easy. Close to home and inexpensive. We will do this more often.
My husband, son (5) & I went last friday evening. We had the absolute best time. The food and drinks were priced affordably. The staff were friendly and helpful. No lines at all. Our only complaint was about the very rude and obnoxious fan. Yelling obscene things to the opposing team, really took away from the family atmosphere.
