Fantastic game. Fun afternoon for all the family ages 6-72. Ticket prices reasonable. Add on charges ridiculous ( could have bought another adult ticket ).
24 years ago my Husband and I had our first date at a Portland Pirates Hockey game. We went every year until they left the Portland area. This year we wanted to be part of the new league coming to the Cross Insurance Arena so we bought tickets to opening day. We were hooked. We went to 6 games this year and hope to go more next year! What a great afternoon/evening we had. Exciting, fun, thrilling, frustrating at times, but what a great way to spend the day/night. Affordable prices and hospitality was great!
It was a great game, and lots of fun. It was "Wild Blueberry" night, so there was a blue ambiance/theme to the evening. The hockey is always great, they lost in overtime but you can't win them all. We will definetly attend more games next year.
Took my sons to their very first pro hockey game and couldn't have had a better time! Kids got broken sticks from the bench and pucks! Best time ever!
Great game; great seats. But then again, I picked them! BUT next time I'm going to wait and buy the day of at the walk up window. I hate being "fee-ed" to death!
I bought tickets for our immediate family for Christmas. As always it was a fantastic game. The venue- everyone was polite and helpful, it was clean. Win or lose you can count on a great time.

Great to see hockey in Portland again, nice to hear the Maine Mariners name as well.It's been awhile since I've been to an event at the Civic Center now the Cross Arena since moving out of Maine,great to be back tho...was worth the drive and, ya, still the same old Civic Center. Team I think has a lot of potential, I will defiantly be back to see them play again. Only gripe..the sound crew, music at times to loud or miscued other than that awesome evening, will be back

Good to be back in the Cross Insurance Arena to see hockey. Unfortunately, staff/crew were not ready for the event. Long lines, half thought out promotions that were dull or didn't happen. Once they get their act together (hopefully soon) it will be a five star venue.
Was a fun night. Would like more information put up on the scoreboard during the game, Shots on Goal, ...
It was a great time. A little unorganized and you could tell it was the first game. The game was great, the intermissions were a little too relaxed. They did try to throw T-Shirts to the crowd, however it was the same crowd each time. They never went to the other sections. They ran out of some food at the concession stands. Parking was horrible! No parking in the Free St. side of the parking garage, and the Spring St. side was filled in no time. Had to park in the Holiday Inn by the Bay parking lot. Overall it was a nice night out. Hopefully as the season goes on, they get a little more organized.
Great way to open the season. The crowd was energized, the team put on a good show. Cross Arena was well prepared to handle the crowds. The renovations are very nice!
Love the new team! Great arena. Looking forward to seeing more Mariners games.
