Kids were entertained, but were not as into it as they have been with another show we saw recently. Sometimes the language used was not great but the kids didn't catch it. For example, one character called another character a moron a couple of times.
This was a great show for not only the kids. The adults in attendance will have a great time too. A great show and I am a big fan of Madagascar. I would see it again.
Perhaps I'm too jaded - having seen too much really good theater, but this one did not come close to entertainment! For shame! I expected "The Lion King" and got a not-very-well-done community theater performance. Even though this "played" to kids, my 11 year old was BORED! It had none of the snappy dialog like Shreck - none of the great music like Lion King or The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. What a disappointment!

This was fun and not at all painful. I wouldn't take a teen, though. My friend and I took our girls - 4 and 9 - and had a very pleasant hour and a half.
Very cute for 8 years or younger. I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the cast.
We (2 adults, kids 3 and 8) really enjoyed the show. The actors were very entertaining, the costumes were excellent and I thought they did a very nice job with the scenery. The show moved quickly, but told the entire story. I really enjoyed Jullian and the other lemurs, the penquins and Marty.
I took my 6 year old boys to the show and they had a great time. It's a wonderful event to expose your kids to something different than TV, movies and video games. The show was a perfect length and very well done.
I was a little disappointed in the singing and acting talent! And the choreography was a little goofy too! As an adult I was just overall disappointed... the kids seemed to love it though!
My wife and I took our four and a half year old grandson to the show and we all had a blast. The performers were very talented and displayed a lot of energy. I loved the costumes!!!
Wasn't as entraining as Shrek or How the Grinch Stole Christmas, second half was better.
I thought the mixture of live performance and puppets was very inventive. My children who had never been to the theatre before sat through the entire performance and my 2 year old was dancing the whole time. It was great.
This was a fun play to watch but a little short, 40 minutes first half and 40 minutes second half. A few of the voices of the performers didn't match the characters but that's just my opinion. All the kids there seemed to love it.
Such a disappointment after Shrek the Musical.... Theater was less than half empty. Guess they got the word and I didn't. TOO LOUD...TOO MUCH VOCALS...NOT ENOUGH STORY for kids. IT WAS NOT FOR KIDS....and that was the main audience. BAD BAD BAD....DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY...
This was totally awesome. My 4 year old grandson was mesmorized. It is important for little ones to learn about the Arts. This was a very effective tool in preparing youngones to find live stage plays as entertaining.
it was very entertaining for my 3 yr old grandson, He watch it amazed. he only got scared one time.
My 2 year old was mesmerized by this show. It was hos first and it toally kept his attention and he started naming the animals on stage. I would definitely go again.
I took my 3 1/2 year old. This was her very first live show and she absolutely loved it! It kept her attention, she loved dancing with the music. Definitely recommend for both children and adults!
This show was extremely disappointing!! It was slow, the adult humor was offensive and inappropriate for the young audience that the production attracted. The giraffe seemed unsure of his part, the hippo was over-the-top and would of been better if she was in an adult version of Madagasgar, and the lion was just "yuck" to me. I don't think it was worth the $20 per person we spent on the show, but it's the risk you take with a new production.
Characters were cast so perfectly. Really a great show and great company. My 3 year old loved it and was dancing in the isle.
