MAC SABBATH IN CONCERT:
"Drive Thru Metal" masters Mac Sabbath have quickly earned a cult following since forming in 2014 thanks to their surreal and hilarious take on the legendary songs of metal greats Black Sabbath. Dressed like a horror movie version of everyone's favorite cheeseburger-hawking clown, frontman Ronald Osbourne leads the band through fast food-themed versions of metal classics, and ticket buyers never fail to eat it up thanks to the band's witty humor and no-joke skills. The group is much more than just a Golden Arches-inspired stage show – they can seriously rock, matching the thunderous sound of Black Sabbath classics like "Paranoid", "Sweet Leaf", and "Iron Man" with their parodies "Pair-a-Buns", "Sweet Beef", and "Frying Pan". For audiences looking to sink their teeth into a deliciously demented take on metal, Mac Sabbath satisfies the craving with their wild performances and headbanging sound.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Mac Sabbath emerged from the Los Angeles underground metal scene in 2014. The exact origins of the band remain a mystery – members Ronald Osbourne (vocals), Slayer MacCheese (guitar), GrimAlice (bassist), and Catburgler (drums) choose to keep their true identities a secret. Soon after forming, the band went viral when metal blogs Loudwire and Metal Injection ran features about their parodies of "Children of the Grave" ("Chicken for the Slaves") and "Iron Man" ("Frying Pan"). Their novelty success quickly turned into cult devotion as fans and critics alike praised the group's energetic and humorous live shows. They gained international traction after touring England in 2015, which culminated in an appearance at that year's Download Festival alongside KISS, Judas Priest, and Mötley Crüe. With their super-sized riffs and hilarious antics, Mac Sabbath continues to give a truly one-of-a-kind experience to audiences around the world.
Great live show! Band was amazing and the venue was perfect
The band was absolutely amazing! Huge energy from every single member, very talented musicians. I would absolutely see them again! The venue was amazing for this show, the literal pit area in the front was the best! I do wish security was a little more active though, there was this extremely drunk woman right up front who kept grabbing the legs of the Burger head guy, it was really awkward and uncomfortable and I felt super bad for him ): but he played on like a true professional. 1000000/10 This is the closest you’ll ever get to seeing Sabbath anyway, go have some fun!
It was such a great experience and really fun. The crowd was a bit too tame for how good the band was. From costume design to Ronald Osborne being a crazy lovable character.
The show was awesome, the openers were both extremely silly and enjoyable as well as very fitting to mac sabbath. Mac Sabbath was a great show, grimace and the hamburglar absolutely shredded and it was awesome! The location was odd (and parking was so hard to find). The crowd had like 0 energy though, for such a high energy show and set, the crowd wasn’t really reciprocating that much energy. Next time they come back to Cleveland I will absolutely come out again!!
Concert was an absolute blast! Cybertronic spree was an absolute blast of nostalgia for me as someone who grew up with the transformers. Mac sabbath was also boatloads of fun. They played an amazing show with some of the best theatrics I’ve seen. Would definitely see again!
One of the best concerts I've attended this year!!
Go and see this band!! Not only are they entertaining visually they are crazy talented musicians!
Mac Sabbath is the best drive thru metal band out there! The music is good, the banter is fun! GO SEE THEM NOW!
Absolutely the most interesting rock show I have ever seen...
So interactive, so talented, so awesome.. I was lucky and got to be right in the front and the band members were really engaged with the audience. This was hands down my favorite show I have ever been to!!! Definitely won’t be my last time seeing them :)
