Mac Demarco Concert Schedule and Tour

From the lo-fi haze of his early recordings to the languid shimmer of his newer work, Mac Demarco  has firmly established himself as slacker rock's modern posterboy. Cigarette perilously dangling from his lips, Demarco cuts an insouciant figure on stage, treating fans at his live shows to his signature drawl and vintage guitar tones. Whether he's apologizing to his mom for "Freaking Out The Neighborhood" or advising listeners to "Go Easy," Demarco is sure to captivate with his seedy charm and world-weary wit on his upcoming concert tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in British Columbia in 1990, Mac Demarco began playing music at age 14, involving himself in various bands while attending high school. In 2009 he began releasing music as Makeout Videotape, performing in concert venues around Vancouver and building a small but loyal following with his lewd sense of humor and off-color live shows. In 2011 he moved to Montreal to begin working on what would ultimately become his debut release as Mac Demarco, 2012's Rock and Roll Night Club. The self-produced album, recorded at home on a four-track tape recorder, was a hit with fans and critics alike, attracting the attention of Brooklyn-based independent label Captured Tracks. His sophomore album, 2, was released on the label in 2012, landing on numerous year-end lists and further contributing to his growing cult fame.  In 2014, he released his third album Salad Days to universal acclaim, kicking off a 36-date world tour that will treat fans in North America, South America, and Europe to his already-legendary live show events.

  • Amazing show

by LTT on 8/27/23Rating: 5 out of 5

He sounds just like he does in his songs. Loved the vibe of the concert and would definitely go again. Band was also great.

  • Macs great awful crowd!

    by L. V. on 7/17/23Rating: 4 out of 5

i went to the 6/14/23 show. Mac played all of five easy hotdogs like he said and then alternated between a One Wayne G song and an old song with new arrangements. the sound was good and this was the debut of many songs being performed live like “She want the sandwich.” However she crowd was terrible. some dude was yelling to sign his arm mid songs and he kept asking and asking. Mac was going to give us 2 songs which were “Proud true Toyota” and a new unreleased song. but no the crowd wanted the encore early and we missed out on those 2 songs. but Mac was great and i would 100% go see him again

  • Mac sang Happy Birthday to my son!

    by J. M. on 4/16/22Rating: 5 out of 5

My son wanted to see Mac Demarco in the Bronx for his 16th birthday. He wanted VIP seats so I splurged. It was well worth the money. Mac caught wind that is was my son’s birthday. I think he yelled it out. He then sang happy birthday to him. The smile on my son’s face was priceless.

  • Pricing

by Itzel on 4/14/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I was so excited to finally go to one near me but once I saw the price I was shocked. Why are the tickets so expensive 😭

  • The cowboy is back!

by Gus on 10/25/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw him at the Frost Amphitheater. The venue was great, bought some merch and food. The show started at 6:30. The opening bands were pretty good. The moshing was crazy thought. This was my first concert and the opening bands got the audience going crazy. Mac barely came out at 8:30. It was tough because it rained and the concert could’ve been cancelled but Mac pulled through. He’s such a charming person with a loveable vibe to him. He seems like a good person to share coffee with. He played some great old songs, new songs and hidden gems. As my first concert it was truly a night to remember. Welcome back mac <3

  • Mac Demarco was great! He was really fun to watch.

    by D$ on 10/5/19Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great at this outdoor venue. Mac DeMarco and band were very engaged with their music and fans. No one left disappointed at this standing room only venue. Surprise encore was Metallica’s Enter Sandman.

  • Best day of my life

by Romby on 9/25/19Orpheum Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Had an amazing day walking around boston having a nice lunch spending time with great friends. Got to shake hands with Andy from the band. Overall best day of my life up to this point.

  • Incredible Performer - laid back, goofy, and jammy

by Nigel on 9/25/19Orpheum Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my favorite show in a while - cool variations to studio songs, covers, can't miss!

  • Great Musician

by MartyG on 9/25/19Orpheum Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Mac DeMarco was amazing! He put on a great show! He was very entertaining and funny, sang wonderfully and genuinely enjoyed performing for a sold out audience at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston! We would definitely see him again when he returns to Boston 💕

  • Great show, less than great venue

by Logan on 9/24/19Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

While the show itself was great, and Mac didn’t fail to deliver, the venue itself was terrible. It was rundown and the show was in a parking lot. And right after the show, what I believe was the venue manager, closed down the inside part so nobody could go inside to buy merchandise.

  • AMAZING!

    by Jonny_292 on 9/24/19Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

He gave an amazing performance and the vibes were amazing. You couldn’t help but jam out. Amazing job!

  • Shameful

    by Renee B on 9/23/19The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I’ll admit that I arrived a bit late to the concert. The Anthem was gorgeous and well staffed. I quickly got a drink at the bar. Mac was playing one of his hits and the band sounded good. Then everything went WAAY downhill. Mac and the band were obviously impaired on drugs, alcohol, both(?). They played terrible renditions of cover songs by Oasis, Nirvana, and then Metallica. The drummer attempted to sing and was terribly off key, Mac didn’t know the words to the Nirvana song and basically faked it. I could have saved $40 and went to see a high school garage band. Actually, I would have enjoyed that more anyway. I loved Mac Demarco’s new album and his voice is beautiful, so sad I didn’t get to see that talent and instead got to see a 10 min guitar solo by the blitzed guitarist. Shame on the band, I will NEVER see them again and they have lost a fan.

  • SO Fun!

    by M. C. on 9/23/19The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Mac is a great entertainer and gifted artist - it all comes together live! The Anthem is THE best venue - but don't tell anyone because I want to keep getting tickets easily for shows! All together a great night - and really cool first "real" (non Disney-ish) concert for my son - a new Mac fan who renewed my love for the OG!

  • pretty good

by jen on 5/22/19Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

two years ago I saw Mac and the garden at the Greek theater at Berkeley and I sat on one of the sides. This concert I was about 10 feet from the stage and Mac was great this time just like the last. however I legit almost had a panic attack when the garden came out. The crowd got really crazy and I was being crushed and i have breathing problems and I needed my inhaler so I was scared. Also Wyatt jumped into the crowd and was on top of me. Lol... and my friend almost fainted. Sounds kinda funny now, but at the time it was scary because I was separated from my friends and the crowd was pushing. Aside from that, before I went into the venue, half of my friend group and I got out of the line and went to the bathroom a couple blocks away. When we returned the security would not let us in and one of our friends in the line had another persons ticket who had went to the bathroom so we were scared she wouldn’t be able to be let in. But the screenshot worked fine from ticketmaster so it all worked out.

  • Its was dope

by C. V. on 5/22/19Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

A bigger stage to see the artist better would improve the show alot

  • LOVE HIM! Hate the venue...

by pepperoniboi on 5/22/19Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

I love this man so much and his band is always so entertaining but I don't think they should play venues any bigger than a 3,000 person max... his band is much better in a smaller, more intimate crowd. But I had fun regardless even if I couldn't really see who was on the stage lol

  • AMAZING

by K. B. on 5/22/19Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

He was so comedic and his angelic singing made me very happy. He interacted with the fans and even spoke so kindly. Would very much love to see him again
