Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt have a great rapport. Many funny stories. I did miss John's electric songs like "Slow Journey". Uptown theater is a beautiful venue Prushman

Not a good evening at the concert in my homeland

by Disappointed on 10/27/22Deadwood Mountain Grand - Deadwood

Was not a good experience. I was seated by a racist man that threw my experience off. And being a Lakota Native American from South Dakota the homeland of my ancestors. The man literally gave me the stink eye for over a minute. I have always enjoyed Lyle Lovett. But this experience wasn’t good to be honest.

It was a great homey, masterful evening

by LVE on 10/27/22Deadwood Mountain Grand - Deadwood

Mountain Grand was a great venue-able to handle a big crowd in a pleasant manner-only thing ladies they have a purse size maximum and if your purse is to big they do provide for $5 a plastic see thru bag to carry your stuff in. Even this the security guards handle with great grace and good humor. Next time have to get there earlier!

    FAIR

by PAC on 10/27/22Deadwood Mountain Grand - Deadwood

Gosh I Love Lyle Lovett but this was not my favorite concert. I’ve seen him 3 times and have really enjoyed him. But this was disappointing, I wish performers would play more of the songs we all know and love, not 4 mins about pants. 😏 Oh well , still love you Lyle!

    A wonderful duo

by Running Man on 10/27/22Deadwood Mountain Grand - Deadwood

Two great artists on stage together complimenting each other’s guitar skills and songs perfectly. Additionally, the Deadwood setting was perfect. A wonderful event and evening.

    Two legends share the love

by JD Syme on 10/26/22CH Mayo Presentation Hall at Mayo Civic Center - Rochester

Two voices, two guitars, two friends - two legends. The concert of the year in my book. Totally awesome.

    Excellent Evening! Better than expected!!

by Bitapaul on 10/25/22CH Mayo Presentation Hall at Mayo Civic Center - Rochester

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt. I was sure it was going to be good, had no idea how good. My wife said it well, “This was more than a concert. It was a true performance.” It was an intimate evening with two icons of American music, I am still gob smacked by how good John Hiatt’s voice is at age 70. And Lyle Lovett is just plain cool. Highly recommended.

Great musicians but not enough music

by Kate on 10/24/22CH Mayo Presentation Hall at Mayo Civic Center - Rochester

Excited to see two legends perform. The concert started late and then there was at least 5 minutes talking between every song. When they played it was good but unfortunately it wasn't often. It wasn't what I signed up for. We left early.

    Icons of lyricism

by Marco on 10/24/22CH Mayo Presentation Hall at Mayo Civic Center - Rochester

Great songs by iconic songwriters in a spare traded solo format. The voices are showing their experience, but their performance was not to be missed. Witty banter between old friends and background information on the songs and songwriting made for an outstanding show. The venue was nice. Good sight lines and sound everywhere, but the seating was not conducive to the typical 50+ demographic audience member’s physique. Several people around us were noticeably cramped and frequently standing to stretch(not dance, not that kind of show).

    A listeners show

by Evilmike on 10/17/22Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

This was a great show. It was a show for people that just simply wanted to sit, chill and listen. It was like hanging out with Lyle & John Hiatt in their living room as they told stories and played tunes. If you came out to rock and dance, this evening was not for you. I know I was not the only one that enjoyed this because people were not even leaving the room for a drink ( not good for the bar,lol ). The sound was great for two guys with guitars. I sat in the balcony. The Rialto is a magnificent venue. Nice people working there and simply a great vibe.

    Best thing ever

Been hitting these two for a chunk of years and they never cease to amaze and entertain. Two guys, two guitars, and a ton of dry wit and banter!!!

    My Take

by Sam on 10/16/22Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I did enjoy the Concert snd some of the Banter. Was a bit more for me, was all. I came for the music and some chat is always good. Perhaps that’s the way these artists prefer, it’s your party, after all. I would have liked more 🎼, was all. Started late as well, l Ok… lovely theater and I have attended, many times. Always great to see these theaters prosper and stay viable for artists to showcase their craft. It’s all about the music and such cherished venues! Bravo, I’ll be back. Not heckling, it’s their right to carry on their way, after all. 😉

    Love these guys!

by Catherine on 10/16/22Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I really enjoyed the friendship between the two of them and their comraderie. John Hiatt is so unbelievably talented. He's been my #1 musical artist for decades! Lyle Lovett is exceptional. The two together sitting down with a couple guitars was a night I'll never forget.
