Love Never Dies probably doesn’t get enough good feedback because it is being compared to Phantom of the Opera. But it is really good!!! It continues the story and still has hauntingly beautiful music. I was absolutely riveted the entire show.

Love Never Dies was Very Good

    by BillM9212 on 3/7/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

There are reasons why sequels in movies don't often work as well as the original. Love Never Dies is no exception. While the story takes us 10 years into the future after the Phantom's end, and is seemingly more complex, the music (while there are notable performances) is not as strong as the original Phantom. While overall a story of love, longing and acceptance it just isn't as strong as the original, I would still recommend it as many of the actor's performances are very strong as they were in the original Phantom.

    Love Never Dies, The Sequel.

    by Geeter007 on 3/7/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This sequel does not do justice to the Phantom. The performance was very good and so was the singing but the actual score and story line did not fit the bill. I would not go back to see this again. But I would for the Phantom.

    Love never dies

I am a huge Fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Phantom and I really loved this play. The music was haunting and well performed by the lead characters. Staging could have been a little better. You left the theater with those songs playing in your brain for days later. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has seen Phantom of the Opera before.

Amazing show with my best friends!

by JennMiller on 3/7/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The venue is gorgeous and the suite package is worth it for the private bathrooms alone. The show was a little dramatic, almost comical, but the scenery and imagery were outstanding. The lady playing Christine was beyond belief. Her voice was breathtaking. We will be talking about this show for years to come.

    Amazing - Love Never Dies

by Phyllyn on 3/7/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Probably the best play I've ever seen. Suspense, action, great music and lyrics.. Enough of the "Phantom" music to make you smile... The ending truly shocked me. Be sure to see Phantom of the Opera before seeing this one.... but. .don't miss it !

The Phantom meets America. The original we found the phantom living in a world to which he was forced to hide and operate in the shadows but in the sequel he makes a new home where he is welcomed and hailed, Coney Island. Sir Lloyd Weber doesn't disappoint with the soaring score once again in the latest production of Love Never Dies.

Good story. . Not in love with the music.

by KRene on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

We’re big Phantom of the Opera fans so we loved seeing Phantom and Christine reunited. What we didn’t love is the lack of a spark or chemistry between them. The scene where they see each other again could’ve been more special. Not sure if it was the actors or the way the part was written but I couldn’t connect with this Phantom or Christine. The set and supporting roles are really good! Music doesn’t have that one song you can’t stop humming after you leave the theatre though. Worth a trip just to say you’ve seen it. I doubt I’d ever return to see it again.

    Amazing sets!

by wardrob on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I would highly recommend "Love Never Dies" to any Phantom fan. While none of the songs will have the impact of "Music of the Night" or "Think of Me", this venue settles the final outcome for Phantom Fans. The sets and theatrics are quite astounding, think of it as Phantom meets Cirque du Soleil. Overall very entertaining with a BIG surprises. Go, see, enjoy.

Love Never Dies proves true for Andrew Lloyd Weber

    by 1Showgirl on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Andrew LLoyd Weber does't disappoint! We had the music of Love Never Dies running through our heads all weekend. The music was lovely and performed by very talented people. The story was well connected to the Phantom but had it's own story line and conflicts. The costuming, scenery and staging was incredible. Very theatric and carnival. I will see it again to appreciate all the intricacies. I highly recommend Love Never Dies to everyone who loves the theatre.

Love Never Dies in Coney Island . . . really???

by JAGWI on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I should have read the synopsis and the reviews before purchasing tickets for the so-called sequel to Lloyd Weber's Phantom of the Opera. Some of the sets and changes were spectacular, but songs were not as memorable. The fact that the Phantom fled the Paris Opera House and ended up in Coney Island (where the whole show takes place) is a stretch and cheapens the show. He should have stayed over in France . . . maybe Senlis, where Le Roi du Couers took place?

Loved the lead singers--very operatic. Sets were creative and exciting. Story a bit cheesy, but it worked overall. Music really great. Chrisitine's dress and backdrop near end of show--showstopper, as well as her rendition of Love Never Dies. This show stays with you, long after the curtain falls

Mr. Weber didn't disappoint! The songs from the main characters were amazing! Reminds me of the great love between my husband and I. Even though he has passed, our love will never die! Thank you!

    Great story, great music.

by Dibow on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The story line was great. Only wish the sound for the Phantom's voice was clearer so we could understand the words. Attended Feb. 27 performance. 7:30pm

    Poor

    by Dede9999 on 3/6/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Very poor almost agonizing no musical tempo where the phantom of the opera left you with a melody in your head this one left nothing but skrething

The singing was excellent. You would expect that- it is a necessity, for anything done by Lloyd-Weber. But even the four supporting characters' voices were very, very good- including the young boy.
