    Brilliant Cast!

    by flutter6 on 2/18/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Love Never Dies was brilliantly cast with some of the finest talent I've ever had the pleasure to hear in the theater . . . EVERY SINGLE ROLE! I did not particularly like the story line with the action taking place at Coney Island. The Paris Opera House was much a more appropriate, intriguing, and romantic setting for the Phantom. Listening to the supreme voices of each one of the cast members definitely made the evening enjoyable!

The opening act was not amazing as compared too the Phantom. I did not particularly like the actors voices of Christine and the Phantom. However I loved the story line! I also loved th sing Tye Beauty Underneath and that whole scene! Raoul and Gustavo voiced were amazing!

OK but I was expecting more

by chicagocoy on 2/17/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Great sets and costumes. A bit too much opera for me. I was disappointed first song was done with audience forced to look through a screen in the curtain. My husband and I are both fans of the original Phantom but didn't care much for this production.

    Love Never Does Die!

by Cinemafan on 2/17/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This sequel to The Phantom of The Opera is clever and wonderfully staged. The costumes and sets spectacular. The performances were not to be topped. I could go see it again! The young man cast member sang beautifully and the rest of the ensemble perfect as expected. The costume character Christine displayed, as a peacock, was so creative it blended the set back round right into it. I learned on a critics review next day that the young man is a native of Carpentersville, IL. Highly recommended!

    Amazing performance, Incredible voices

by CadillacFan on 2/17/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Our favorite classic, the Phantom of the Opera, continues in this sequel. We love the Cadillac Palace, an extraordinary venue. The performances and the incredible voices blew us away. But be prepared for the bizarre! The romantic drama also turns into a circus-like performance. A little shock at first, but overall a very good show. We would go to see the original Phantom over and over again. Not so much Love Never Dies. One time is enough...

    Fantastic

by Coomdickler on 2/17/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The music is great, though obviously it could never be as good as Phantom, but visually it was phenomenal. Really really enjoyed it.

    Amazing

    by LGO838 on 2/15/18Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I’ll start by saying, ignore those reviews that trash this musical. My wife and I attended the February 15th matinee in Chicago. From the opening number we were simply blown away. The songs, voices, acting, costumes and sets can only be described in one word, “Outstanding.” The actress portraying Christine was amazing. To say her voice was beautiful would be an insult. Her voice and her beauty are something not to be missed. The Phantom, Christine’s husband and her son were also great. The remainder of the cast were wonderful. The finale was so overwhelming that most of the audience was sobbing. The standing ovation that the performers received was well deserved. My wife, who has seen Phantom 5 times, (in Chicago and New York ), said that she actually thinks she enjoyed this performance more. If you are reading this review because you are in doubt whether to attend the play, I’d say don’t wait another second...Go and enjoy!

    OUTSTANDING!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!

by MidwestKissFan on 2/15/18Cadillac Palace Theatre - Chicago

Sensational show. If you liked Phantom you have to see it. Even my husband who is not really in to theater said it was wonderful. It ranks as one of the top shows I have seen (and I have been going to the theater for 25 years...both in NYC and Chicago). I was expecting it to be just okay, but it was fantastic. They did it!! The singing of Gardar Thor Cortes (Phantom) and Meghan Picerno (Christine) moved me to tears. Sidenote: I just read that this show has been reworked several times. I did not see any of the earlier versions, but this version in Chicago on Feb 14th 2018 was spectacular.

    Amazing!!

by JoshyChicago on 2/15/18Cadillac Palace Theatre - Chicago

This far exceeded my expectations. I can't believe how beautiful the voices are and how lush the set is. I was sitting close but wish I was in the balcony as the fullness of the set is a sight to behold. This has the feel of a Broadway musical. I cannot recommend highly enough
