Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, with its starry rotating cast and compulsively entertaining subject matter, has become an international hit. This intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron is based on the best-selling book, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons' friends. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to, creating one of the most enduring theatergoing experiences in New York and now across the country.
The funniest play I have been to in a decade yet heartwrenchingly moving at times. Wonderful!
I had no idea it was going to be a panel of women reading off a script and I was sure to be disappointed at the static setting. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! It was so much fun and the characters changed as quickly as the clothing discussion did. It was at once moving, thought provoking, touching, hilarious and definitely something that ANYONE can relate to. I highly recommend going to this in any and every situation! It is just like Ms. Ephron's writing; easy to identify, contemplative and amazingly funny.
I thoroughly enjoyed Love, Loss & What I Wore. You will be immediately engrossed in the stories of the production.
OMG - This was the funniest play I have seen in years. The dialogue was crisp and the acting so good by all the cast. I expecially appreciated that so many viewpoints were presented by the diverse cast. The Vagina Monologues has nothing on this play.
It was so much fun to be with my friends and identify with all those brilliant women! We all have tons of stories, but at the end of the day we are cut from the same cloth!
Love, Loss and What I Wore was witty and wonderful!
I came to the play alone ! When I saw the names of Nora & Delia Ephron, I was sure it was something I would enjoy, and I did ! I could relate to so much of the play and it was an enjoyable afternoon.
At no time was I completely overcome with laughter or deeply moved, but the show was entertaining and a fun way to spend the day downtown...shopping, lunching and a little theater time.
My college granddaughter and I both adored this show! I was particularly grateful to receive the special pricing offer, or we would not have been able to see the show.
I bought these tickets for my wife knowing that I would be one of the few men in the theatre. Well, I was. The show is well done - I really enjoyed the stories and acting, and I recall hearing the men laugh just as loud or louder than the women in the theatre. Overall great show. I picked it because I read a similarly written review from another male source, and I'd like to pay it forward.
Both hysterically funny and touchingly bittersweet, women of all ages can relate! Sad that the theatre was only about 20% full.
OVERALL IT WAS Ok. Lots of boring slow parts. Very predictable. Always expect REALLY CLEVER FROM NORA AND SISTER. NOT SO MUCH THIS TIME.
The show has an enlightening way of exhibiting everything we deal with as females.
I can identify with the women's feelings. What a hoot!
Snooze fest.....The people in front of me were actually nodding off. I know why they do not have an intermission, no one would return!
I laughed and I cried. I was able to relate to most of the topics discussed. If you are a woman you would enjoy going. I do believe it was overpriced and wouldn't say you HAVE to see it, but if you are thinking about it or want a girls afternoon/night out it is good for that! I went with two girlfriends and we all enjoyed ourselves.
I liked the play don't get me wrong but I left wanting more----It was a short play not even 2 hrs. I thought they just touched upon alot of ideas and could of went more in depth, I would rate it between fair to good.....A few good laughs
This play was boring and depressing. 4 women dressed in black, sitting on stage for 95 minutes!
Great cast, great laughs, great memories! Nora Ephron does not disappoint!
I had a great time at this show. I would love to see again and again.
