About

Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, with its starry rotating cast and compulsively entertaining subject matter, has become an international hit. This intimate collection of stories by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron is based on the best-selling book, as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons' friends. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to, creating one of the most enduring theatergoing experiences in New York and now across the country.

Love, Loss and What I Wore a Must See

by usaoriginaldiva on 9/26/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I was in town with my daughters for a girls only weekend and this play reinforced why we need to do special things together. We laughed, we cried, we related to all of it! What a fantastic play! A must see for sure! Would see it again and I am buying the book for my daughters and myself!

    I've seen better & I've seen worse

by Shellbell39 on 9/23/11Water Tower Theater - Chicago

This show was fair, possibly average at best. I did enjoy seeing a show by women & about women. I enjoyed it largely because I saw it with my best friend from childhood & we could relate to much of the script. To pay Broadway prices & basically sit & watch 4 women seated in chairs read from a script is a bit anticlimactic. No costume, no music, no set design. It seems that there could have been a better more entertaining use of their talent. I felt like I was watching a workshop on acting. I have seen over 20 Broadway shows in the past 3 yrs & this would fall in the bottom half of the list.

I loved all the memories that I recalled while watching and listening to the characters' stories-funny, sad and meaningful ones. It was such an enjoyable event. I had no idea what to expect, and I was delighted.

Love, Loss and What I Wore

Actors were great. Writing was touching at times but mediocre at best. The ticket prices were way to high for the type of performance that it was.

a Great Performance about Love, Loss & What I Wore

by Nonnato3 on 9/22/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

From somber to silly to touching... many emotions are expressed and all are linked by the unforgettable "What I wore" experience. It's a great girls night out and, yes, there were men in the audience who also seemed to "get" the laughable moments that women can especially understand. The performances were outstanding and there is no doubt that this play helps us take a look at life from an interesting and most often humorous perspective.

Love loss and what I wore

by Joffreytower on 9/22/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Would have enjoyed this play much more if it had more star power. Nora Dunn kept messing up her lines, even though the script was right in front of her. It did not seem genuine unfortunatly.

    A bit disappointing

by docente on 9/20/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I have seen a few of the Broadway productions---"Next to Normal" and "Working"---come to mind, and perhaps "West Side Story" (unsure if it was a B'way production), and was very impressed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend "Love, Loss and What I Wore" with the same enthusiasm. I did not think it was worth the price of the ticket ($125). Yes, we had excellent seats and felt it was a special treat to attend a show about women and for women, but the script was disappointing. I expected sharper wit, incisive comments from the Ephron sisters, but it was all too predictable. The acting was good, nothing outstanding, except in the case of Nora Dunn and Felicia Fields. After all, they had to work with the script.

    It was fun

by Kelly15789 on 9/18/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I had a good time, and the content was enjoyable. However, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think it is overpriced ($93) for a "reading" type of show. I'm sure there is plenty of hard work involved, but I'd reserve paying that much for performers who actually have to memorize their lines and sing or dance, etc. However, as a female, I still really enjoyed the show and the content and delivery was witty and excellent.

Love, Loss & What I Wore really hit the mark!

by jadwiga on 9/16/11Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

So many of the stories were so close to home. I have been thru so many of the scenarios the actresses portrayed. The women were delightfully funny and poignant in telling their stories. It was so true to life with the moments of laughter and sadness.
