The ‘80s just wanna have fun

We made it a fun night because I was with fun people, but the concert was seriously lacking with long breaks between sets and a bunch of songs I’ve never heard of.
I went to see General Public and Naked Eyes, who were both my faves in the 80s. I loved both bands and glad they were able to perform. I was a little disappointed with Naked Eyes due to the vocalist having a weak, raspy voice and wondered if he could perform anymore. General Public and Wang Chung were great and still had strong voices. I'd go again!
The concert overall was ok. I enjoyed the music and the company. It was a fun blast from the past. Unfortunately, the sound quality was very bad for all bands except Wang Chung. The middle range of sound was almost non-existent. The lighting was not great for General Public. They didn't have the lights on the stage so we couldn't see them. It was fun to have the artists walking the audience and signing records and other items.
I know it is the culture, but I actually didn’t see most of the concert. Two women in front of us stood and sort of danced the entire time. The people behind us complained and then left. Last band was the very best, glad we decided to stay. Stacy Q was good. The band that sang Bob Marley was good, don’t know who they were.
Shannon , Naked Eyes , especially can’t sing anymore … the back up singer / producer needs to NOT EVER sing back up ! I think you need more bands that aren’t washed up. General Public was great !!
We were so excited to see Stacey Q and Shannon, they were still good, not like in their prime, and it’s a shame they only did a couple of songs. Its Understandable that voices change over time but it was still good to reminisce. The transition between every performer and band was so slow and wasted so much time. Overall it was a disappointment.
Thel all looked like they were having a blast on stage, and it fed into the crowd. I hope that they are back next year!
The bands were about what we expected performance wise. 40 years after they were in their prime is a long time and voices don't always hold up. That's expected. Nonetheless, they were all a lot of fun and put out great energy. The wait between bands for the set up was too much. It seems they could run one half of the stage while the other half is set up to keep things flowing. A mash up at the end would have been fantastic with all the bands participating in a melding of their top hits!
Such a great show. Clearly a few of the lead singers' voices aren't what they used to be but that's understandable and the show as a whole with the great instrumentals was a blast. The best IMO was Stacey Q and Shannon. Both their voices were still great and they moved around like they were were back in the 80's! If you have a chance to see this show and are a fan of 80's music, I highly recommend this show!
When I bought tickets for this show I figured it would be a fun blast from the past. It was WAY more fun than I ever expected. Great bands! Great music! They also kept the flow going which can be difficult when you're trying to get 6 or so acts on stage within a 4 hour timeframe. My only surprise was that when you go to the website for the tour, they show a whole bunch of bands. It looks like they may regionalize some of the bands because not all of them played. I would have liked to have seen The Tubes but they did not play at our show. Regardless, it was worth every penny!
Marymoor in Seattle was a great venue and bands were amazing -- loved every minute! Would've liked to have seen an encore song with all of the bands, and maybe the show go until 11pm for more music. Sad to see that other bands, like Missing Persons and Howard Jones, were on other city shows but not Seattle. Best show and loved it so please do this again next year! Add: New Order, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark, Simple Minds, Oingo Boingo, Wall of Voodoo, Til Tuesday, Camoflauge, Gene Loves Jezebel, Love & Rockets, Kate Bush
First of all the tickets cost more in Florida and was having less bands on the bill like Tommy Tutone, Animotion, Dramarama, Bow wow. Then when we get there there's a sign saying musical youth and missing persons wasn't performing which is the main band i came to see. Sound was bad, a lot of performers had recorded backing vocals, or shot out voice. Bathroom lines were ridiculous. It was super hot with no fans under the amp roof. I think there should be some kind of refund or discount for next year.
great show, 2 cancellations no advance notice to sell tickets on secondary market disappointing. missing persons and musical youth cancelled. Stacey Q was a shell of herself. sang over her own voice track. the rest was great.
But 2 of the bands didn't play!!!!! Missing Persons cancelled!😢 Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Naked Eyes, English Beat were awesome! The venue and free parking were great!
Two of the featured bands were not in the lineup that evening. The audio quality for the show was very poor. It was not the amphitheater; I’ve been to shows there before and the audio was fine. Not worth the price paid for the ticket.
I went for Missing Person and Musical Youth and they both cancelled and didn't perform. You guys did not even have the courtesy of sending an email or announcing it. The rest of the show was pertty sorry. English Beat was alright. Never again!
Although, the music was very loud, the show was great! All the artists were spot on spectacular 2 artists that were supposed to perform, never showed up: Musical Youth and Missing Persons.
It was awesome to live the past again for one night!
Too long before shows - started late and the 2 groups I really wanted to see didn't show. Played a bunch of songs no one even remembered them singing
