About

With over 13 million albums sold worldwide and an astonishing 55 songs on the Billboard charts, Los Tucanes de Tijuana are one of the most prolific and acclaimed norteño acts in the world. Formed in 1987 from the music scene of Tijuana's nightclubs, the group's humble beginnings gave way to international stardom and celebrated live concerts at iconic venues such as Dodger Stadium and the Zócola, a plaza in Mexico City with a capacity of 100,000. With the release of 365 Días in 2012, Los Tucanes landed at No. 3 on the Top Latin Albums chart and won their first Latin Grammy for Best Norteño Album. The group began as a quartet consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Mario Quintero Lara, vocalist/accordionist Joel Higuera, bassist Mario Moreno, and drummer David Servin. Their songs include ballads and dance tracks marked by double-entendres and lyrical stories that represent the realities of life for many Latinos, making them a favorite with ticket buyers. Los Tucanes de Tijuana have received several awards from the Billboard Mexican Music Awards, BMI Awards, and were featured in 2010 in the first-ever Spanish-only program at the Grammy Museum.

    Music: The music was live, entertaining, and listening to your favorite songs live-provided instant gratification! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon/evening!!! All of the performers were great!!! The performance by Los Tucanes was AMAZING! It was very entertaining! Best hits LIT the place up!! La Chona- it was what I was waiting for!! It was a blast!!! Great concert! I had so much fun listening to the live music! Tables: I purchased tickets in the VIP section. People did not adhere to their ticket seating. We all paid the same price for the table, but it just ticked me off a bit. Simply annoying. Location: It's a park area. You'd think lots of green. There was. In the general ticket area. VIP area-there's lots of dirt. I wasn't prepared for the dirt, especially in a supposed "VIP" seating area. VIP treatment, not much. Only perk were for the alcoholics that we're getting plastered. People-SMH don't know how to control their liquor. It was fun to watch. Anyway, it was nice viewing the performers close up without having to worry about crowds.

    The performance was great from both performers however, the venue was horrible. It was way too hot. If I would have known that the concert was outside I would have reconsider the concert.

    They are really good live and sound the same if not better in person. I would highly recommend any person that is a fan of Los Tucanes to see them.

    I've always been a fan of Los Tucanes since I heard the song La Chona. After that I was hooked. All my family know that that is my song so when I got the opportunity to see them live in The Del Mar Fair. I went with a friend and my daughter. Everything was well organized and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on row 3 at a table which were perfect seats and had great service with the waitresses there. The stage and lighting were amazing and Los Tucanes were amazing. There were no disappointments. I am looking forward to my next upcoming concert. Thank you.

    The band excellent! They played many of the crowds favorite tunes. I danced for the most part of the concert. I wish the venue would have set up more dancing floor space in the back.

    the jaripeo was toooooo long the event went till after 11:30pm I had to leave. I was too tired of standing. i went to see los tucanes de Tijuana but did not see full show. if the jaripeo wasn't as long as it was, other singers would have been in n out of there giving los tucanes time to sing. I heard the rushed out aswell. my BIGGEST issue was NO TECATE LITE!!! they no longer sell tecate lite I cannot return

    LOVED IT... EVERY MOMENT WAS SUPER ... i ENJOYED IT... THE ONLY THING I DO NOT LIKE IS THAT THE VIP IS ALL IN THE BACK AND WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE THE ARTIST IN ACT.. YOU SHOULD HAVE IT THAT WE ARE ALL ABLE TO SEE EVERY THING IN FRONT NOT IN THE BACK...

    I attended this show with the hopes of seeing one of my favorite singers, Pancho Barraza. However, he was a 'no-show'. Papers were posted on the Anaheim convention Center ticket windows stating he was no presenting that night. Why? Can anyone shed light on this? Why didn't he show up? This happened to me once before several years ago when I went to go see him perform at the Hacienda Corona in North Hollywood. Why did he cancel at the last minute? Thank you.

    The show was unforgettable. Los Tucanes put on a very memorable show. All the music was great. They had the audience going and singing along through out the show. Seating at the Star of the Desert Arena was great for the price.
