The venue was small and excellent for sound. Loreena was amazing as was her cello player, violinist, and guitars. So good for the soul to hear this music. It has taken years to see the woman perform music that I have painted to for years. I am so grateful to have been able to attend.
I loved Lorena McKennit!!!! The theatre was beautiful, and the balcony view was spectacular! The music was so beautiful it made me cry! Loved it!
The whole concert was amazing - venue, performance, logistics, everything.
I saw Loreena McKennitt in concert for the first time in Florence in 1997. She was touring to promote her album The Book of Secrets. I was amazed by her voice. After a quarter of a century seeing her again has been an equally wonderful experience: her voice, her elegance and her class are beyond incredible.
This was our 4th time seeing Loreena in concert. Her voice is as good, if not better, in person as in recording. And, her band mates, led by Hugh Marsh on violin and Brian Hughes on guitar are amazing too. Loreena's easy transition between the harp and piano gave variety to her songs. But, any way you slice it, her voice never gets old. It's unlike any I've heard in my 5 decades of listening to music.
What an amazing concert with unbelievable musicians. The only negative was the stressful parking because my parking pass would not show up.
Wonderful artist. Great venue. Sound was terrific. Talent was extraordinary! We had laughs and shared hopes. Loreena is a beautiful person with a soul full of compassion which is echoed in all her music.
I am thrilled I had the chance to experience one of my all-time favorite artists. As far as the venue, there are only a few wheelchair seats, in a small area, and no accessible women's restroom. It would be great if there were some improvements in this area, even one single restroom and more wheelchair seats..
As soon as the first notes rang out into the theatre my daughter and I both got goose bumps. Loreena is a master of the craft of storytelling both in words and in music. She has put together an ensemble of highly skilled multi instrumentation musicians that clearly enjoy performing which makes the experience a delicious treat for the ears. She capably weaves entertaining anecdotes in between songs, bringing a fantastic balance of story and beautiful music played on piano and harp. Of course it would not be fair to her to not highlight her singing: she can belt out a staggering vocal performance. She has tremendous vocal power and her exacting prowess is truly a wonder. Her clear and crisp vocals blended perfectly with the mix of all of the instruments being played. She is kind. She is superbly skilled. She clearly enjoys performing and it shows. If you have an opportunity to attend any of her performances, do yourself a favor and go, even if you need to make use of a caravanserai. (yes, this may be the only time I use that word in a sentence when not referring to her song of the same name but I couldn't resist).
This woman’s voice is one of a kind. She doesn’t need a microphone! The music is beautiful and moving. It was a wonderful concert.
We very much enjoyed Loreena McKinnet and her band of musicians. Her voice was strong and clear. The cello, violin and guitar players played exquisitely. The sound system and lighting were great. The State Theater is lovely but the seating is crowded and chairs low.
We enjoyed her so much! And, the musicians especially cello and fiddle were wonderful. Loreena sounds richer than before if that could be. Stunning vocals and and on the harp

her voice was as clear and powerful as when I saw her in Boulder in the 90s. completely flawless, whole band was amazing. lovely, personable stage presence as well.
I went to a Lorena McKennitt concert this week in Minneapolis. I love her voice and was of course expecting a good concert, but a part of me was thinking: “Why travel 300 miles...stay in a hotel...pay parking…. when I can watch her on a PBS special or on live YouTube clips.” I would say on a scale of 1-10 that I was expecting an 8 or so......I would have to say it ended up being a 20. My wife and I both viewed it as a bit of a religious experience. Not only is her voice unbelievably pure, but she is a great story teller…..she is charming…she is very humble.....is socially conscience.....and pretty funny. She is winding down her midwest tour, but if you can get tickets in your area…..I would highly recommend seeing her. We are even thinking of flying to London to see her again!
Lorena sounds as beautiful as when I first heard her in the 90’s. Lovely hall to enjoy her and the staff were calm and kind.
I loved her concert. Transportive. Magical. Lyrical. Ticketmaster, however, still continues to reap great profits from us consumers. Two $89 tickets cost me $269. What the h*ll! Reserved parking, through ticketmaster, instead of being $20 ended up being $59. I feel like I've been reaped.
Lorena was a master of the music and of making everyone feel welcome and at ease. All the musicians were so good. I especially loved the cello. But the venue was not up to the quality of the concert. We sat about 3/4 back in the middle. It was difficult to understand her lyrics, I think because the sound system just wasn't up to it. Otherwise everything was perfect.
Great show. Excellent musicians. The color of her hair might have changed but not her voice or performance,.
The process at The State Theater was smooth and efficient. Great job there. Regarding the event itself, absolutely magical. One of the best events I have been to. Just wonderful. So glad I went and got to see her. Hope she comes again.
