Amazing show. Very talented people on the stage. Only wish the crowd would have let me hear the whole thing
What an amazing show!!!! The two towers is my favorite out of the LOTR trilogy. I was so happy to experience this event at Radio City Music Hall. I can't wait for the next one. Definitely buying tickets.
This has always been on my buck list since I first saw these movies as a child. Sitting there works can not express the joy and the chills I felt throughout the film. I can’t wait for the third film
The orchestra and choir were so beautiful. This was really special. The crowd however treated it as a fan night with them cheering and speaking the lines throughout the entire thing. Not just a whoop mind you, constant constant crowd participation. I would love to go on a designated “music listening” night so I could listen to the orchestra I paid $100 for.
Terrible experience - screen cut off from view. This row shouldn’t be sold for an event like this.
I was hoping that the show was going to be focused on the Orchestra and the score, I did not realize that they were playing the full movie with sound on. I felt like this was no different than seeing the movie in the movie theater and that the live music was secondary to the movie. I would have preferred the music being the central part of the show with maybe scenes from the movie on the screen in the background to accompany the music, not the other way around.
It was like watching the movie for the first time again! Loved it!
The movie is already an Epic experience in its own right. The orchestra and singers added a level of entertainment unknown to me until seeing in person. BEYOND AMAZING!!! If you have a chance definitely go!
While the movie, the choir and the orchestra were amazing, our experience was marred by the staff. We were sitting towards the back of the orchestra section (cos above seers!) and could hear the staff chattering on and off for the first half of the film. They also let a lot of people in very late (20 minutes or so, maybe they were the stand-by crowd ?) and while I’m sure those people appeeciated it, it was really annoying to have key scenes blocked by people trying to find their seats, take their coats off and pass around snacks.
Being in Radio City Music Hall is an event in itself. And then, seeing one of the LOTR movies on the big screen is very special. And then-an orchestra and a chorus and soloists throughout the movie! This was one of the most wonderful cultural experiences I have had for years.
Must see! Masterpiece! We enjoyed a lot. Can't wait for Return of the King
This was an incredible experience and we had so much fun! The performance was great, the movie was great, and the seats were comfortable. Highly appreciated they gave us an intermission. Great fun!
Attended the Fellowship of the Ring live last year. Once again, the entire orchestra killed it!
I will be going to watch the other two LOTR when they are around my area.
The orchestra, soloists, and the crowd were amazing! It is a lot of fun to see a movie in this setting with a crowd that is passionate about the LotR! There are subtitles in case the music gets louder than the movie. There isn't a bad seat in the house at Radio City, so pick any seat you'd like and enjoy!
Everything was wonderful from the time we arrived until the time we left. The lines were long but ran smoothly. We got our hoodies and concessions and enjoyed the show. This was a christmas gift for my fiancé--he is a die hard fan!! He was smiling the whole show. Thank you!
The orchestra was beyond amazing! This was my first movie with live music experience, and I was blown away!! The musicians were beyond talented and fantastic!! More! Bravo!!!!
This was truly was one of the most amazing performances I have ever had the pleasure to attend. The musicians were all exceptional and the production quality could not be beat.
Watching a Lord of the Rings movie on a GIANT screen in Radio City Music Hall is wonderful on its own BUT adding a LIVE FULL orchestra and chorus - well, it was beyond our already high expectations. We were not sure where to look - at the movie or at the musicians. Was hard to concentrate on both! It is the way to see all movies - I wish! Can not wait to see the 3rd movie in the sequence.
It was definitely great to see the orchestra play along the movie. Crowd was awesome and felt great being in a room with equally obsessed fans!
